Sail, fight, plunder, build! Start with a cutlass and a leaky raft, then crew a real ship, sink the navy, hunt sea monsters and claim an island of your own. The sea is shared, and nothing on it is safe.

Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“DEADEYE is a shared-world pirate sandbox, and a world like this only becomes great with players in it. The economy, faction reputation, port sieges, base raiding and PvP all depend on how real crews play together, and no amount of internal testing can replace that. Early Access lets us open the seas now, learn from how captains actually sail, trade and fight, and shape the game around them before the full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect DEADEYE to be in Early Access for around 12 months. That may change depending on player feedback and how the world grows.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to keep expanding the world and the ways to play in it. Our current plans include:
- More islands, biomes, sea monsters and legendary beasts to hunt
- More ships, ship refits and naval combat options
- Deeper faction stories, contracts and world events
- More to build: base pieces, settlement upgrades and defences
- Balance passes on the economy, combat and the Compass skill tree, guided by player feedback
- Performance, server stability and quality-of-life improvements
- Additional languages
These are our intentions, and the final scope will be shaped by the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“DEADEYE is fully playable today. You can play solo, host friends through Steam or LAN, run a dedicated community server, or join the official seas. The current version includes:
- A 6,400 x 6,400 world with 120 islands, 15 ports and seven distinct biomes, from the frozen north to a volcanic isle
- 30 ships with real walkable decks, wind-driven sailing, boarding and ship capture
- Melee and firearm combat with parries, dodge rolls and 16 material tiers
- Over 1,000 items and 770 crafting recipes
- Base building, island claims, farming, fishing, diving and caves
- Six factions, guilds, parties, port sieges, a player market and weekly events
- The Compass skill tree with 377 steps across eight branches
As with any Early Access game, expect bugs, balance changes and the occasional rough edge while we keep improving it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not planning to change the price when DEADEYE leaves Early Access. Everyone who buys during Early Access keeps the game and every update at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players are at the heart of how DEADEYE grows. We will read the Steam discussions and reviews closely, post regular development updates and patch notes on Steam, and run polls on the features you want next. We plan to hold playtests for big changes before they reach the official servers, and community servers let players try their own rules and show us what works. Bug reports and balance feedback from active captains will directly shape our priorities.”

About This Game

DEADEYE is a top-down pixel pirate sandbox. You wake on the docks of Port Royale with a cutlass, an axe, a fishing rod and a few coins. What happens next is up to you: honest trader, bounty hunter, island lord, or the most wanted name on the server.

Real ships, real decks

  • 30 hulls, from a log raft to ships of the line. Walk the hold, the gun deck and the quarterdeck while your crew works the guns.

  • Wind, sails and momentum are simulated on the server. Cannonballs punch holes, holes let in the sea, and a flooded ship goes down.

  • Load chain, grape, explosive, fire or cursed shot. Throw a grapple, cut down the crew and take the wheel.

  • Cutlasses, spears, tridents, pistols, muskets, blunderbusses, hand cannons and harpoon guns across 16 material tiers.

  • Parry, dodge-roll, backstab and land three-hit finishers.

  • Hunt legendary beasts, summon island bosses, and face the Kraken and the Leviathan far out at sea.

Build, claim and survive

  • Plant a claim flag on a wild island, raise walls of wood, stone or metal, and grow your outpost into a stronghold.

  • Farm, fish, dive for pearl beds, explore caves, and bury your treasure where only you can find it.

  • More than 1,000 items and 770 recipes to find, buy, loot and craft.

Trade and rule the seas

  • 15 ports, each with its own shops and prices that drift with supply and demand.

  • Six factions with long memories: the Navy, the Merchants' Guild, the Island Tribes, the Brotherhood, the Armada and the Smugglers' Ring.

  • Found a guild, lay siege to a port, and take a cut of every sale in its shops.

  • The Compass skill tree: 377 steps across eight branches. Not enough points to learn them all.

Play your way

Play solo in your own world, host friends through Steam or LAN, run a dedicated community server, or join the official seas.
