What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Elementyle is a game focused on preparing a strong foundation to continue building upon after release. Opening the game for Early Access allows feedback to meaningfully direct the game as it grows, enables the community to get involved in the process as early as possible, and sets the expectation of growth and change for the early development process.

The goal for Early Access is to gather player feedback, iterate, and finalize the remaining gameplay content before moving to cosmetics and visual fidelity.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Current development goals are as follows:
  • Open-Alpha Completed - Begin Open Beta: 12/31/2024
  • Open-Beta Completed - Full Release: 12/31/2025

These goals are subject to change but the goal will be to maintain an open testing environment all the way through to full release. Progress and stats may be reset periodically during Early Access and additionally once beta is completed and the game is moved to full production.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Each phase of development will focus on different aspects of the game.
Alpha: Primarily focusing on functionality and game features.
Beta: Primarily focusing on polish, aesthetics, and content.
Release: Primarily focusing on new content and bug fixes.

During Early Access until progression systems are integrated, all pieces and unlockable content will be available to players for testing purposes.

For full release, all four sets will have a total of 9 pieces each (totaling 36 pieces). During Alpha testing, all pieces will be available for testing purposes. Once progression systems are integrated, some pieces will become locked behind in-game progression.

Please note: while some pieces and cosmetics may be locked behind progression systems, Elementyle does not support pay-to-play or pay-to win. All cosmetics and pieces can be unlocked / earned by playing with the exception of time-based exclusives.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Core Release Targets
  • 3 / 4 Element sets released.
  • 15 / 36 unique pieces released.

Currently in Open-Alpha
Sub-phase: Server Rework
Upcoming: Client Rework

Current State of Elementyle
Three out of four playable sets each with 5 total pieces. Two player and vs. Computer modes both available. Stat tracking is enabled not yet visible to players aside from Win-Loss and Elo.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. Elementyle will always be free with no pay-to-play or pay-to-win.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players will have a variety of feedback methods from comments / reviews, Discord, email, livestreams, surveys, and polls as the community grows. Elementyle has strong fundamental gameplay base upon which design decisions can be made to have significant impact. Players will be able to directly engage with the balance and design of pieces as the meta continues to be shaped by new content releases during Early Access and into Full Production.”
