About This Game

Blêktre 2081 is a mutant MMORPG in the form of an "oldschool" adventure game, just as much a competitive role playing game as a "real shitty life simulator".

Set in a future that is a little too close, dystopian and grotesque, you play as a migrant arriving in a ruthless turbo capitalist society where humans themselves have become a commodity, somewhere between Soylent Green and South Park.

Under the big chunky pixels, players move through a detailed simulated open city, offering freedom but also the responsibility of managing it. Get your own apartment, develop your character, become someone important. Or break into someone else’s place to take a shit on their carpet, that is also an option.

To make your place in Blêktre, you are invited to take on a wide variety of jobs, for example beggar, proletarian collecting corpses for the factory, predatory entrepreneur or business robber, cop beating up demo players, or even the ultimate role of President, who personally sets the very rules of the game, up to the possibility of making it free.

The asynchronous multiplayer system lets you play perfectly solo in a collectively shaped world. That does not stop you from teaming up or going head to head with another player.
