Why Early Access?

“Early Access is intended to help me release the game faster. Each player who gives me feedback usually speeds up my progress significantly and players see things that are difficult for me to see alone.

I have been working on this game literally every day for over a year now. It has all major systems built and over an hour of (skip-able) cutscenes already. Most importantly to the player, the research and building upgrade features are working and allow you to get an early jump on other players now.

Similar to other city building games, research takes time and you gain speedup items doing daily quests. This game is not a pay to win game, all battle stats must be earned and paid upgrades only have cosmetic and kingdom advancement bonuses (like food, gold, speedup).

Players can be stronger than other players with more completed research, so dealing with some bugs in the first month or two should be worth it for this early advantage.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I do not want to stay in Early Access for long. 30 days is the goal. Number of players and Feedback will greatly determine the amount of time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The roadmap for the game's development is based on chapters of the AbraTabia story.

Early Access is being released with 4 chapters of storyline. I plan to release regular updates with more storyline over time, along with planned pvp modes that will be tested during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game storyline and city management features are all ready to get you started on building up your kingdom.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is free to play and upgrades are optional. Prices are the same as the live version. Diamonds will begin to be sold after Early Access begins because I need the Steam overlay to be live to setup payments. Diamonds are the only (planned) product that can be purchased with real money.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As a solo developer, I enjoy creating everything myself and specifically chose to develop the game alone. I love to do the work so the enormous workload does not bother me at all. However, I make the game for the players and my opinion doesn't count for much. Once released this is now YOUR GAME, especially on Steam, I hope and pray for as much community involvement as possible to mold the final versions of all features.”

About This Game

AbraTabia is a magical adventure game where you can build and defend your own kingdom. Grow your citizen population while managing food, gold and resources. Upgrade buildings and research technologies to enhance your soldiers and player character. PVP battles with armies, siege weapons and more.

Dramatic open field battles, with up to 300 soldiers on each side. 25 graphical monsters, 9 types of animals for cattle and hunting. 5 types of realistic siege weapons to destroy enemy walls. Dramatic spell effects, and unique player spells. Includes over 100 cutscenes with full audio, lip sync and dynamic camera angles.

Your kingdom's development is built on a storyline system where each page of the story is a short, skippable cutscene and a task assigned to each. Tasks include unlocking buildings, quests, and various battles. You continue to play the game by managing citizen growth, building and research upgrades, flying around your kingdom doing quests, PVP battles and defending against monster attacks. Team Co-Op in 2 scalable dungeons of up to 10 players.

- 12 special buildings, 45 player chosen buildings, and 12 research trees.
- Your Queen is the main character with the most powerful magic and evolution over time.
- Daily quests, PVP battles and mini games. Magical monster attacks, and dungeons.
- Upgrading buildings and research will increase your soldier and player strength and abilities.

There is a primary attack spell that is the core of magical fighting, named Magical Beam. This spell shoots out like a projectile, which requires aiming. Most other spells have a cooldown and instantly hit their targets or cause an AOE effect, but magical beam shoots out like a yoyo / boomerang, and requires real aim. The beam also "connects" with other beams in various situations (many boss fights and pvp), where both players' beams meet in the middle, creating a Spell Lock. Then each player uses a slider to push the beam towards the other player. 2 pushes wins, and the beam can go back and forth up to 5 times.

Extra Modes:

These extra modes will be optional, all have quests for them to earn rewards for your kingdom. They are listed in order of their planned release.

- Battle Royale - (Live) - up to 10 players in a survival battle to be the last one standing. Queen with a few unique spells for this mode.
- Castle Battles - (Live) - 1 vs 1 battle where one player invades a player kingdom with soldiers, siege and their queen.
- Siege Battle - (In Beta Testing) Play as one of 5 types of siege weapons to destroy walls faster than 1-2 pvp opponents.
- Magical Chess PVP Mini Game (In Beta Testing) - 1 vs 1 (Turn Based), and 2 vs 2 Blitz (all 4 players move at the same time)
- All Alone Tribal Council - (Requires the other game modes) Survival Type Voting Game With Immunity Challenges and Playing Cards.

New Chapters with more story and activities will be released over time. Around one chapter per month is the goal. Chapters have 12-20 tasks in them each. Game will be released with the first 5 chapters.

Storyline Roadmap

- Chapter 1 lays the base story and is mostly cutscenes unlocking primary buildings and introducing you to the game characters.
- Chapters 2-5 is unlocking buildings and quests, with a couple of monster fights to introduce combat to the player. 2 PVP modes unlocked.
- Chapters 6-9 focus on PVP Castle Battles, Siege Weapons, Quests and Kingdom Defense events. Chess and All Alone.
- Chapters 9-15 is mostly based on the first dungeon, Monster Castle and unlocking ship battles.
- Sea battles will start around chapter 14, and are used in the 2nd Sea Based Dungeon.
