What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“TFZP has been built by a team of just two people so far.

Early Access lets us grow that team by hiring more help, bringing on more freelancers, and getting more people on board to carry the game to full release through regular patches and milestone updates along the way.

However Early Access performs, TFZP will reach a full 1.0 release.

Having players in the game now is how we make sure we're heading in the right direction and building the game the community wants to play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim for a 2-year Early Access period, followed by the full 1.0 release.
There will be major content updates, as well as minor patches, on the path to full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand TFZP in every direction during Early Access. That includes new maps, and unique encounters that push your squad further than the endless waves ever have.
We also plan to add more mechanical depth, such as explosives, grenades and other new tools, as well as exploring bigger additions.
Alongside new content, we plan to keep improving stability and performance, and to build better social features such as a server browser, so it's easier to find a game and team up with people other than your friends.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“TFZP's Early Access launch includes one medium-sized map with the full core gameplay loop in place: endless waves, the economy system for buying and upgrading your guns, and the ability to unlock more.

The lobby system is in, so you can invite anyone on your Steam friends list and jump straight into a game together.

The global stats are live from day one, so every kill, death and revive counts toward the worldwide fight against the outbreak. The dynamic weapon attachment system is fully playable, letting you tune both attachments and internals to suit your playstyle. A couple of major encounters are also waiting for squads who survive long enough to face them, or should I say, who can find their way to them.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to adjust the price at key milestones during Early Access, based on the amount of content, gameplay depth, quality and stability the game can offer at that given point in time. As TFZP expands and grows closer to our full vision, we expect the price to rise gradually to reflect that.

Joining early means getting TFZP at its lowest price while helping shape where it goes next.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord is the heart of the community, and the developers are active there, talking with players directly, sharing progress and listening to feedback. We're also keeping an eye out across our other socials, so there are plenty of ways to reach us.
Simply playing the game helps too. Gameplay data from your sessions shows us what's working, what isn't, and where the experience can improve, and it directly informs the design decisions we make going forward.”

About This Game

TFZP is a co-op endless wave survival shooter where you and your squad fight to outlast a relentless zombie horde.

Something unknown has begun crawling up from deep beneath the earth, spreading like a plague across the planet and twisting everything it touches into the undead. What's left of the world's armies has united to push back, and you and your squad are on the front line, sent into the largest infestations to wipe them out at the source.

Endless Waves

Every round brings more zombies, until the waves swell into a tide that threatens to overrun even the most coordinated squad.

Big Fights

Some rounds push the chaos further than others, throwing brutal encounters at your squad that test your skill, and that of your friends.

The Global Fight

Every zombie killed, every player downed, every teammate revived feeds into a worldwide tally of humanity's fight against the outbreak.

Choose a flag to represent and fight alongside the soldiers of that nation in humanity's last stand against the outbreak.

Dynamic Weapon Attachment System

Upgrade your guns inside and out, from external attachments to internal parts like barrels, triggers, and feed systems. Build a weapon that suits your playstyle.

Dynamic Dismemberment

Every shot leaves its mark as you blow off limbs, tear through bodies, and send the horde crawling after you in pieces.

Take out a zombie's leg to slow it down and make it crawl, or go for the head to finish the job.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Contains intense blood and gore. Undead enemies can be dismembered and decapitated, with damage reflected in real time based on where they are hit.
