“「異変を探す」から「異変と対峙する」、8番出口の続編。
逃げる恐怖は終わり、逃げられない恐怖へ立ち向かおう。

前作からプレイスタイルがガラッと変わったため賛否があるが、電光掲示板や床、音、視線あらゆる場所に注意を払うことは一緒だ。
違うのはただ一つ、逃げることは出来ない。進むのみ。
襲い掛かる異変を察知して、適切に対処しつつ八番駅を目指そう。

そして最後に待ち受ける異変とは・・・。”
