What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“My aim is to craft an exceptional gaming experience. I've been eager for someone to test out my whimsical game concept, and I believe it's finally at a point where it's ready to be shared. I'm also seeking suggestions for enhancing Loot Goblins, anticipating a plethora of imaginative ideas. I've put considerable thought into what would make for an enjoyable experience in a lighthearted game among friends.

Loot Goblins originated from my desire to create a game that embodies simplicity, silliness, and vibrant aesthetics. The inspiration stemmed from the notion of goblins as covetous and mischievous beings, delighting in the accumulation of loot and engaging in playful skirmishes. Injecting humor and unpredictability into the mix, I introduced the goblins' penchant for flatulence and the ingenious fart bomb mechanic. It's my hope that you and your friends find joy in playing Loot Goblins together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It's hard to give an exact timeline. The earliest would be 3 months. The latest would be 6 months. Things are subject to change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I'm currently expanding the arsenal of weapons and loot within the game, alongside developing plans for additional maps. Presently, there are five maps accessible, with room for more in the future. I welcome any feedback and am prepared to implement necessary changes, prioritizing transparency and realistic goals.

The completion of Loot Goblins is imminent, with compatibility for various controllers already integrated. Furthermore, I'm actively working on a feature allowing players to personalize their goblin avatars with amusing hats and diverse skin tones.

Our primary hurdle lies in localizing the game for diverse international audiences. While devoid of voiceovers, the game features textual elements. My aspiration is for players worldwide to revel in the whimsical world of farting goblins.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The internal testing has shown promising results, with the identification and resolution of several UI bugs underway. Additionally, efforts are ongoing to ensure seamless integration of PS4/PS5 controllers into the game. Xbox controllers work natively in game. Despite these minor issues, the game remains highly playable.

Please note the presence of some unidentified bugs that are yet to be addressed.

Current Maps Available:

  • River Valley
  • Mountain Pass
  • The Crystal Cave
  • Crystal Mine
  • The Village

More maps will be added in subsequent updates.

Primary Game Mode: Looting

In this mode, players embark on a quest to collect loot while engaging in combat with rival goblins. The objective is straightforward: accumulate as much loot as possible to secure victory. The scoring mechanism is based on the quantity of loot stored in each player's bag.

As a multiplayer game, the experience is enhanced with more participants. The maximum player limit is set at 32, provided your system can accommodate it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There will be no price difference.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“You can find all the updates on the company discord. That's where I share what I can. I'm passionate about making a quality game. I want your feedback and involvement. The best way to improve the game is to listen to you. Whether it's a tweet, a steam comment, or anything else. I'm getting some wild ideas from this goblin game. But I'm only one fox, and I need time to make them happen.

I appreciate you all.”
