This demo contains 14 puzzles, and will take at least:

  • 30+ minutes to reach the end screen
  • 60+ minutes to complete all puzzles
  • 150+ minutes to obsessively perfect literally everything (don't do this)

We wanted to cram as much as possible into this demo, so on-boarding is a little rushed. Things will ramp up a lot more nicely in the full game. Please reach out if you have any issues, especially any accessibility or QoL concerns.

About This Game

Get penguins home safely in Gentoo Rescue! Penguins must coordinate with walruses, who want to escape into the water. Items let you break the rules of the game and the metagame. Discover their uses, limitations, and interactions. Will you choose the right tool for the job?

  • An interconnected network of puzzles with secrets and item-based progression.
  • Hundreds of diverse, hand-crafted levels that are small and simple, but difficult.

  • A journal for tracking discovered interactions, which also marks entries required for the current puzzle.
  • A tiered hint system for when the journal isn't enough. These emphasize a deduction-based approach.
