Why Early Access?

“Thorgard already has its core gameplay loop and main systems in place, but I want to continue improving and expanding the game together with the community. Early Access gives me the opportunity to gather real player feedback, especially regarding difficulty, balancing, progression, weapons and overall gameplay, while continuing to add new content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Thorgard to remain in Early Access for approximately 6–12 months. However, this may change depending on player feedback and the development of the planned content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include additional content such as new maps, enemies, weapons, abilities and other gameplay additions. I also plan to further improve balancing, progression and existing systems based on feedback collected during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version is fully playable and contains the core gameplay experience, including the main combat and progression systems, different enemies, weapons, abilities and an Endless Mode. Players can already experience the main gameplay loop from start to finish.

Development during Early Access will primarily focus on expanding the available content, improving balancing and progression, fixing issues reported by players and refining the overall experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The current Early Access price is planned to remain at €6.99. The price may increase when the game leaves Early Access depending on the amount of additional content and features added during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an important part of Thorgard's development. Players can share feedback, balancing suggestions, bug reports and ideas through the Steam Community and the official Discord server.

I will also use player feedback and gameplay data to identify areas that need balancing or improvement. Updates and development progress will be communicated regularly, and community feedback will help influence priorities for future updates.”
