Why Early Access?

“Why?, well I'm new to game development. about a year ago I hadn't ever even touched a game engine. and today I am putting a game on steam. my dream is coming true slowly but surely.

I feel early access is perfect for Planet prospector as it enables me to build the game with your guys help. the price will reflect this and the more content rich the game becomes the higher the price.
As I learn more and more, I feel the game will only get better. but for now its in EA because TBH I'm a single DEV and very green to game development.. please be patient with me as I try and build a great immersive space sim.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Planet Prospector will be in early access for one year. with mid 2025 as a 1.0 release. but it could stretch more depending on new features that are highly requested.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Planet prospector aim's to have an immersive feature rich space sim experience.
The full release would aim to include a mining economy and gameplay loop. Passenger transport economy and more ships to buy. Search and rescue gameplay elements with special cargo types .
We also would like to achieve owning a capital ship. Headtracking as well as joystick and controller support.
We plan to add many more POI's to trade with, spread all across the planet and moons.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The state of Planet prospector is a playable game. It features cargo hauling. Full scale planets and moons. You can purchase ships with the credits you earn through trading.. Though the game is very early on in development. the flight mechanics and trading are in a playable state.

There are many Points of interest to trade with, spanning across various parts of the planet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“yes! this is the smart way to do this. the more the game gets complete the higher the price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Taking feed back from the early builds. And incorporating changes into the process of development.
If a gameplay loop is deemed to slow or boring and the community thinks it should be changed in some way will be taken into account.
The community can post suggestions and ideas in the Steam forums , And if they have any concerns about the games current path in development.
I would like to say that planet prospector is created by a gamer for gamers. So feed back and ideas are most welcome. So head over to the Steam forums and join the discussion.”

About This Game

An open World Space Logistics Simulator.
Help humanitys new colonization effort by delivering vital supplies to various outposts and factories around the planet and in space.
head deep into dark asteroid fields or skim the surface of vast oceans.
The cargo in Planet Prospector is a physical container you must load, attach to the ship and fly around with.
its is not a fake magickly in your hold inventory item.
Once you reach a selling point you must lower the cargo onto the drop pad to complete the sale.
Land Anywhere on the planet and summon a Rover or on foot exploring and finding rare ores to mine and sell.

The jump system in Planet prospector is not a selected point to jump to system. you must manually input the distances you want to jump. there are HUD elements that help you get your distances, so jump carefully captain!
