Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Swamp Up will be in development for approximately a year to complete all planned content. However, additional suggestions and ideas from the community may influence the final release date. Currently, Torress Studios consists of just two siblings, which may result in a slightly slower development process, but it's an exciting journey nonetheless. We will share updates throughout development to keep the public well informed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to new content, we have planned a number of gameplay and quality-of-life improvements for the players. These features will be fully completed before Early Access ends. During this time, we may also incorporate suggestions and ideas from the community and address any bugs that may arise, with the goal of preparing Swamp Up for its full release.
For the final version of the game, we have planned high-level gameplay and a cohesive game loop, as well as presenting our protagonist's story.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Swamp Up is enjoyable, playable, and stable, with features implemented at an advanced level of functionality. This means that players will be able to perform actions that already represent our vision for the game upon its full release.
Players can already chart their own path while exploring a procedurally loaded swamp in an endless runner style. In addition to the inherent dangers, they will find power-ups to aid them on their journey. These power-ups can also be acquired from the in-game store using the emblems earned as you progress and unlock the game's difficulties.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Once the game is ready to leave Early Access, we will re-evaluate its price considering all the added content. By offering a lower price during Early Access, we are expressing our gratitude to the community that supports us during the development phase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is the reason we prefer to use Early Access. Therefore, we ask the community to comment, submit suggestions, request features, and provide us with bug feedback via our Steam forum or our Discord server. All of this will be closely reviewed, and we will do our best to respond to each post and prioritize the most relevant requests.”
