Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

Note: Games in Early Access are not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development. Learn more

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access to build the game with players and improve it in the open.
- Validate the core fun and difficulty with real play, not assumptions.
- Find and fix bugs and performance issues across a wide range of hardware.
- Set roadmap priorities based on player feedback and transparent updates.
We aim for long-term quality rather than rushing 1.0. Early Access is how we iterate with the community toward the best version of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to start Early Access between October and December 2025 and target a 1.0 release in mid 2026. This puts the Early Access period at roughly 6 to 9 months, with final timing adjusted based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to go beyond the current “get stronger” loop by completing a second core experience outside the match.
Locker Room: a hub grounded in a sustainable progression loop, where players can connect with others and discover fun beyond pure power progression.
This second core structure is the experience we are building toward. Exact features and scope may evolve during Early Access based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access build is about 80% complete toward our planned EA scope. The core loop is stable and fully playable.
- What’s ready: core mechanics, progression, and the key systems needed for a complete session.
- What’s in progress: balance and late-game tuning, content variety, performance and stability polish, and broader QA.
We plan to share a Steam Next Fest build that is very close to the EA experience so players can try it before we launch. Specific content and timing may evolve based on feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to maintain the price. We will announce any changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve players throughout Early Access with open channels, participation programs, and live two-way communication.
- Steam Community and our official Discord as primary hubs for updates and feedback. For players in China, we’ll use Kook.
- A range of participation programs so the community can help shape development, such as opt-in playtests and focused feedback sessions.
- Live streams on Twitch and similar platforms for real-time Q&A, play sessions, and previews.
We’ll review feedback regularly, share what we’re acting on next, and adjust plans as we learn.”

About This Game

Fight, scavenge, craft and survive against relentless zombies and dangerous players

The Midnight Walkers is a hardcore PvE / PvPvE first-person zombie survival extraction shooter.
Survivors must explore Liberty Grand Center mega complex, scavenging for gear while fighting deadly zombies.
Craft weapons, armor, and consumables, or trade items with other players through the dark web-based marketplace to secure even stronger equipment.

The game can be played in solo or trios mode, while you explore various floors such as shopping malls, hospitals, and casinos—each with its own challenges.
Plan your survival and escape routes carefully.

Successfully escaping will allow you to store the gear and items you’ve secured in your personal stash or use them in your next run.
However, if you fall to zombies, rival survivors, or the deadly poison gas, you’ll lose everything.

Explore a mega-complex overrun by extremely dangerous zombies

Liberty Grand Center mega-complex is overrun by dangerous zombies, mutated variants, deadly bosses, and desperate survivors using any means necessary to scavenge for the same loot as you. Utilize elevators to explore shopping mall, hospital, and casino floors, and plan escape route from dangers, including the countdown-triggered poison gas system.

While the gas spreads across random floors every few minutes, survivors must stay alert and move swiftly.
Continuous exposure to this fatal gas dramatically reduces survival chances to 0. Put your combat survival skills to the test see how long you can last in the unforgiving and lethal Liberty Grand Center.

Gear up with your custom slayer's arsenal

Arm yourself with a diverse range of melee weapons and firearms. The Dagger and Katana deliver rapid strikes, much like the revolver. For hard hitting power, the Sledgehammer and break-action single-barrel Shotgun deliver devastating results. The bow and bolt-action rifle offer long-range precision, rewarding skilled shots with deadly takedowns. Strategically wield them to outmatch both the zombies and rival survivors.

Encounter deadly zombies, mutated variants, and lethal bosses

The zombies in Liberty Grand Center are deadly, with their threat escalating as their numbers grow. Slow-moving Walkers and Crawlers are easy to avoid but can quickly overwhelm if you’re not careful. Runners, on the other hand, are quick to ambush inattentive survivors, easily attracted to noise and adding to the chaos.

Mutated zombie variants are powerful threats with dangerous abilities that demand immediate attention. Acid-spitters force survivors to stay mobile, pushing them to close the gap to engage. Smashers, with their massive health, slam the ground to create AOE shockwaves. Meanwhile, Rammers rush toward survivors like a battering ram, aiming to scatter the group and cause chaos.

Each enemy demands a unique approach, and taking on multiple zombies at once requires both strategy and skill- especially if, against all odds, you find yourself facing them all at once. Surviving means knowing when to fight, or when to run.
