About This Game

A non-linear visual novel with Point & Click elements. Choose one of two protagonists and guide them through the bizarre rooms of the Conscious Space. Unravel mysteries, aid fellow sufferers, and fulfill tasks for the employees to earn their favor… or walk over heads to reach the finale as fast as possible. The choice is yours. Or is it?

The game is set in an alternative Europe during the latter half of the 20th century. Not long ago, a war known as the «Mindless War» finally came to an end. Against the backdrop of the adoption of the law on religious tolerance, a large number of religious organizations are being formed, one of which is the Order of Kami. The Order’s true goals, the core of its faith, and the history of its creation remain a mystery to all but a select few.

While reading about this Order in the morning paper, our protagonist receives a letter: a job invitation. In a country ravaged by unemployment and having only recently finished rehabilitation from the scars of the Mindless War, they find themselves without alternatives. And so, they head to the interview.

The job seems simple enough, requiring no prior experience. All they have to do is test a new development at the Institute of Advanced Research and Technology…

• Stress System. You are your protagonist. Your choice is their choice — until their stress level stays within limits. Once it exceeds those limits, you can no longer be sure you're doing what you actually want.

• Stressful situations may require decisive action. If your stress level is too high, negative thoughts will start to pop into your head. You will no longer think about helping others, only about how to end this nightmare as quickly as possible.

• Cigarettes, alcohol, and... Hugs? There are many ways to de-stress in the Conscious Space. But keep in mind that your hero might not like everything you pick. Choose wisely, or face the backlash.

• The Guide. Your personal assistant. She will track your tasks, suggest where to go in case of a dead end, and help you forget about all your troubles during breaks. Treat her well if you intend to rely on her help until the very end. 

• Multiple Paths. Most tasks offer several ways to be completed. Think your choices through, as you’ll likely feel the weight of the consequences down the road. Keep that in mind before you murder your next innocent victim or agree to join a dubious adventure.
