What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We remain dedicated to the ongoing development of 7 Minutes in Hell. While the game is fully playable, we continuously seek to enhance the experience by incorporating player feedback to refine gameplay balance and overall performance.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect 7 Minutes in Hell to be in Early Access development at least through the end of 2024. Given the nature of Early Access development, we don't have a specific end date planned at this time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We anticipate the full version of 7 Minutes in Hell to feature finely-tuned, polished content with high re-playability. Players can look forward to exploring additional arenas, earning more Steam achievements, and engaging in a progressive scaling system that increases difficulty across rounds. 7MIH will also have Mod Support where players can create their own additional content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“7 Minutes in Hell is already in an enjoyable and fully playable state, offering players thrilling encounters with monsters, obstacles, and traps as they strive to achieve their goals.

We are actively expanding the game, with plans to introduce new monsters and arenas over the coming months, continuously delivering fresh content to our player base.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Depending on the duration of Early Access and the scope of additional content we add to 7 Minutes in Hell over time, we may raise the retail price at a later point.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As part of our development process, we will actively monitor feedback through our 7 Minutes in Hell Discord, Steam Community discussion forums, and various social media platforms where discussions arise. We are including a dedicated channel for mod support. Here we will share how our codebase is working and guide modders to help put their visions to life.

We anticipate making several updates and improvements based on player feedback, which will be addressed in patch notes. Simply playing the game provides valuable data for us to analyze, and combined with direct feedback, this will help us create a more complete and refined experience, ensuring 7 Minutes in Hell reaches its full potential.”

About This Game

7 Minutes in Hell is a 4-player online co-op extraction horror game with roguelite progression. You and your team of contestants are dropped into randomized, trap-filled arenas with one goal: survive the game show. Scavenge for loot, dodge deadly traps, and outrun the terrifying "Employees" to secure your winnings.

Proximity Voice Chat: Communication is survival. Use fully integrated proximity voice chat to coordinate with your team, call out trap locations, and scream for help. But be careful—panic is contagious, and the "Employees" are listening.

Roguelite Progression: Your Greenroom is your lifeline. Invest your winnings into permanent upgrades that persist between runs. Buy the Slushie Machine to gain perks against the Gelly Cube, or upgrade your furniture to boost your stats. Even if you die in the arena, your Greenroom investments remain.

The "Employees": You aren't alone in the arena. Survive against a roster of unique monsters including Buckethead, the Jiangshi, Giant Rats, and the terrifying Mannequin. Each enemy has unique behaviors you must learn to survive—or you'll end up dead on camera.

Sponsors & Gear: Visit the shop to buy equipment that can turn the tide. Upgrade your storage with Backpacks, power electronics with Batteries, set traps with Rakes, or buy the ultimate last resort: a Gun with One Bullet. Make your shot count.

Bonus Rounds: What would a gameshow be without Bonus Rounds?! Complete specific challenges during your run to win extra cash and maximize your payout.

High-Stakes Extraction: You have limited time to navigate the maze, grab the cash, and find the exit. If you die in the arena, you lose your current loot haul. Will you play it safe to bank your cash, or risk it all for the grand prize?
