Forced out of home, Rahr, a paper fledgling is thrust into unfamiliar world. This place is not kind. The air hangs heavy with smog, the rivers ooze with sludge and the inhabitants will do anything to thrive...

Junklands is a 3D action-adventure metroidvania that dives into a polluted world littered with all kinds of toxic foes, dangers, and treacherous places. Use your versatile Trash-lid Shield and the Green Orb to clean up the industrious forces plaguing the lands.

Gameplay Features:




EXPLORATION:
  • Venture into a fantastically grim world where pollution has transformed the habitat.
  • Each area is uniquely affected by the polluted environment.
  • Explore an immersive, interconnecting realm and find your way in the world.



ABILITIES:
  • Obtain elemental forms - Walk on lava with metal skin.
  • Traverse the environment in style - Shield Surf through the underground sewer ways.
  • Use your shield to solve puzzles - Break through webbed barriers with your Cutter shield.



COMBAT:
  • Face off in a distinct flavor of combat where the best offense is a well-timed defense!
  • Use your shield to block, throw, reflect and slash, or use the Green Orb to recycle foes.
  • Battle against a deadly variety of pollutants from sewer-sludge critters to coal-shoveling behemoths.



UPGRADES:
  • Deposit collected scrap into Recyclers to craft power enhancing trinkets.
  • Equip your choice of trinkets to customize your playstyle.

  • Save trapped critters.
  • Recycle enemies.
  • Clean up the waste.
  • Reveal hidden pathways.
