About This Game

AstroTechs is a tactical isometric real-time tactics game with a heavy emphasis on information-gathering, careful execution, and proper use of resources. An intuitive heads-up display shows you enemy positions, awareness, and behavioral patterns. Fight in close quarters, surrounded by critical ship systems: a stray bullet can burst out a window into the vacuum of space, ignite exposed fuel pipes, or even blast open a hull breach!

FEATURES

• Live out the AstroTechs story in Defense Mode, repairing damaged systems and completing objectives. Solve puzzles and overcome powerful enemies, speak with your fellow AstroTechs to unravel the mystery of why the ship has been rerouted from its original mission, and rescue crew members to bring them to safety.

• Rescue other AstroTechs and command them in repairs or tactical support. Fight and fix as a team!

• Play Horde Mode, surviving escalating waves as you open new areas, activate traps, and upgrade your arsenal.

• Unlock more powerful weapons and upgraded skills, such as multi-target chaining shots and even splitting projectiles!

• Face off against a wide variety of dangerous enemies, born from nanotechnology run amok! Parts of the ship “mutate” around you, forming nests of violent machines. These include snipers, spiders, sentry droids, and powerful environmental boss-enemies.

• A dark, damaged spaceship environment presents many tactical opportunities. Blast your enemies out into space by destroying a window, and then repairing it when you’re done. Lure your enemies onto live wires and watch them fry!

Five powerful and customizable abilities complement your trusty rifle. Fire up your Overcharge shot for a strong burst of damage, or toss out a grenade to devastate an entire area! Activate a tactical shield to protect your back or flank while you deal with the problems in front of you. 

THE ENVIRONMENT IS YOUR WEAPON

All across the ship are systems to be repaired or destroyed, depending on the situation. Mend broken windows and bulkheads before you or your companions get blown out into space… or leave them damaged just long enough for your enemies to get blown out first, before fixing them. Use wall-panels to deactivate various hazards so you and your fellow AstroTechs can safely pass… or leave them active as robots come nearer to you, bursting into useless showers of sparks and twisted metal. Ignite fuel pipes with a stray shot and set off a devastating explosion. 

THE TACTICAL TEMPO

When faced with difficult situations, activate a Tactical Pause; slow down time, highlight enemy positions and detection cones, and use slow motion to more accurately pace your shots. You are more than just a soldier. As an AstroTech, you are an expert in field repair and combat engineering. Restore power to devices such as damaged doors and health stations, and tether yourself to avoid flying out of broken windows or hull breach. Command your fellow AstroTechs to perform repairs while you lay down covering fire, or go running yourself towards a critical point while they pour damage into the boss.
