What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Scrapmen is built with player input at its core. Early Access lets us refine gameplay, balance mechanics, and expand content with direct community feedback. From resource collection to combat, every system will be tested and improved based on your experience.

We aim to build a passionate player base that helps shape the game’s future. Transparency and collaboration are key—we’ll keep you informed and value your input.

Join us in crafting a unique strategy-action experience. Your feedback will help shape Scrapmen into the best game it can be.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We aim for the game to be in a completed state within 24 months (2 years) with frequent and regular updates.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Scrapmen focuses on establishing the core loop of scavenging, building, and surviving in a harsh, post-cataclysmic world. The full version is planned to expand on that foundation with larger playable regions, deeper faction systems, and greater player influence over territory and conflict.

We intend to introduce additional biomes, new building materials, and more advanced machinery for both the Ironclad and the Timberfolk, allowing each faction’s identity to shape how they build and fight. The world will also evolve dynamically through expanded war phases, localized ceasefires, and player-driven events that influence which areas are safe or contested.

Beyond new content, the full version aims to deepen the game’s persistent systems, including player progression, structure ownership, and long-term faction tracking across servers, creating a living, interconnected world instead of isolated sessions.

While exact features and timelines may change, the goal is to evolve Scrapmen from a survival sandbox into a full-scale world defined by player conflict, salvage, and rebuilding after the fall.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core survival and building systems that define Scrapmen. Players can scavenge materials, construct bases, join a faction, and take part in small-scale territorial conflicts. The foundational multiplayer systems are in place, including persistence across sessions and faction tracking on dedicated servers.

The current focus is stability, balance, and expanding the range of structures, tools, and crafting options. Many systems are functional but still in development, with ongoing tuning to player progression, world events, and environmental hazards.

While the world is smaller in scale and less populated than intended for the full release, it provides a complete gameplay loop and a clear sense of direction for what’s to come.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access version is cheaper than the final release, to reflect the game’s ongoing development, and to thank those who support it.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We've recently launched a Discord Server dedicated to our community. As the sole developer, I'm actively present on Discord to engage with players. This platform serves as a direct channel for discussions, questions, bug reports, and new feature suggestions. Everyone's input is highly valued and contributes significantly to shaping the game's direction and evolution. Your participation in these discussions is instrumental in steering the game's development.”

About This Game

Scrapmen is a persistent multiplayer war set in the shattered remains of a ruined world.

Join the industrial Ironclad or resourceful Timberfolk. Players shape the conflict: they move supplies,

build and defend bases, maintain homes, and push shifting frontlines. The war continues after you log

off.

A War Is Not Won by Soldiers Alone

Fight, haul scrap, build, produce, farm, scout, or coordinate the next push. Every useful action feeds the

same persistent war.

An attack can fail because ammunition never arrived. A base can survive because backline players kept

it supplied. Victory belongs to the faction that communicates, adapts, and supports its people.

Arcade War, Stylised Wasteland

Scrapmen is not a military simulator. It is accessible, readable arcade FPS combat in a bold comic-

inspired world of chunky silhouettes, faction colours, improvised weapons, strange machines, and

makeshift defences.

Scrapmen takes the idea of persistent war seriously, without taking itself too seriously.

Choose Your Role

  • Fight as a frontline soldier in first-person combat

  • Build and defend faction bases

  • Collect, process, and transport scrap

  • Produce weapons, ammunition, food, rations, and supplies

  • Protect farms, homes, production sites, and supply routes

  • Join temporary groups or larger faction efforts

  • Scout, organise, and support attacks with tactical tools

You do not need to be the best shot to matter. Play alone, join a group, different play styles can still push the same faction goal forward.

Frontline, Logistics, and Home front

Every bullet, weapon, ration, and defensive structure comes from somewhere. Resources are collected,

processed, stored, and moved where they are needed. Soldiers need ammunition, builders need

materials, and bases need supplies. When logistics fail, frontlines collapse.

Away from combat, maintain homes, prepare rations, support production, and keep the backline

moving. Non-combat players remain vital to the war.

Tactical Command Tools

Use objectives, waypoints, and supply requests to help organise your faction. Commanders identify

opportunities, but players decide what is possible.

The Shards

Before the cataclysm, this world was Elyndra. Now it is The Shards: ruined cities, unstable land, scarce

resources, and desperate factions.

The Ironclad seek order, industry, and old-world technology. The Timberfolk survive through

adaptability, scavenging, and rejection of the systems that destroyed the old world.
