What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Adventure Mansion is being developed in Early Access to focus on getting the fundamentals right before expanding the scope.

Early Access allows development to concentrate on how scavenger hunts unfold, how the Host delivers challenges, and how the game feels to play cooperatively. This phase is about refining the core experience, experimenting where it makes sense, and ensuring the foundation supports the kind of adventure the game is meant to deliver.

As development continues, feedback will help guide what is expanded and what is simplified, but the priority during Early Access is clear: build a strong, enjoyable core experience before adding more.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is expected to be in Early Access until 2028 depending on how much feedback is received and how much editing/adding of content is required. I currently work on the game on a part-time level as I also work a development job.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Adventure Mansion will grow out of what is proven during Early Access. While the exact structure and content are still being refined, several pillars are locked in: the game will always be adventure-first, it will always feature a central Host, and it is being designed primarily around a 1–4 player multiplayer experience.

Early Access is being used to define what Adventure Mansion truly is — not by committing prematurely to a fixed structure, but by refining how scavenger hunts, Host-led challenges, and player roles feel in practice. As those foundations solidify, future updates will expand the experience with additional locations, challenges, and variations without overcomplicating the core loop.

The goal is not to chase trends or replicate existing games, but to build the kind of multiplayer adventure that feels worth sitting down to play and worth playing again and again.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Adventure Mansion is in active development, with work currently focused on preparing a playable demo and strengthening the game’s technical foundation.

Core multiplayer systems are implemented and being optimized, including player scaling, session flow, and performance. Proximity-based voice chat and speech recognition are fully integrated and already in use, forming a key part of how players communicate and interact during scavenger hunts and Host-led challenges.

Much of the content is still in progress, but internal testing is ongoing, and systems are being refined to ensure the experience feels smooth, responsive, and enjoyable before expanding the scope further.

Additional Development Note

The original concept for Adventure Mansion included a more linear, single-player experience centered around a haunted attraction. While elements of that concept may return in the future, development has since shifted to a multiplayer-first approach, with systems and content now being built specifically to support cooperative play from the ground up.

This shift has informed everything from level layout to interaction design, and reflects a broader focus on shared discovery, communication, and replayability.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually raise the price as I ship new content and features. Buying early gets you a cheaper price in the long run but a less developed product.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“A feedback system (or discord) will be set up closer to the initial pre-release status.”

About This Game

Adventure Mansion is a multiplayer adventure game built around scavenger hunts, riddles, and choice. Players explore a sprawling mansion under the direction of a commanding and enigmatic Host, whose instructions arrive as spoken clues, riddles, and challenges that shape the course of each session.

Each play session unfolds as a sequence of distinct adventures. Players are given a starting point, not a solution. Some paths move the group forward. Others lead somewhere unexpected. When players falter, the Host does not simply dismiss them — the role they play may change.

Example host scavenger clue:

As any true ascent begins,
climb toward grandeur and leave the ground behind.
Favor the path that feels right—
the number of fingers on thy hand shall point the way.

Then seek thy chamber where thy doppelgänger waits,
where porcelain meets wood and clawed feet rest.
With a lingering flick, crimson glows unabated.

When thou art ready,
face thine other self.

The name reveals itself only in the mist.
Invoke it thrice. Adventure awaits.

The Host awaits eager to instruct.  Do you answer the call?
