Why Early Access?

“Our goal is to show the element of 'time' not only in the game world, but also outside the game.

The game will be released as a sneak preview, and while the scenery and characters outside the window change over time, the real world beyond the screen will also continue to flow and change. Perhaps the ending of the game after a long wait will be more unique than pressing the "next week/next year" button.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This sneak preview will last from six months to a year, during which time we will continue to add different views and adjust the content for each time period as we receive player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The following is the scale of what we plan to achieve in the official release, although we can't guarantee that all items will be realized:
30 animations for each of the 2 existing themes. These will be unlocked as the game progresses and as time passes in the real world.
Add music player tracks.
Ideally, we plan to continue creating the 3 themes of "The Gravekeeper", "Magnificent Landscape", and "In the End, No Shoes" and release them as DLC. These three themes will focus more on story development, so the game mode will also change slightly.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have completed the sets, animations and music for "The Last Leaf" and "Silhouette of the Neighborhood", and we are still working on the new animations and music.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may raise the price slightly, or sell other themes as DLC.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Initially, we expect to collect player suggestions through the Steam Community forums. Additionally, we've created an easy to fill out system for custom scenery, animations, and animation appearance conditions. The structure will allow creators to easily add content of their own. We look forward to inviting more creators to participate.”

"Beyond the Curtains" is a tranquil and relaxing game of casually gazing out the window, longing to witness interesting events and surprises.
Through the large window, you will have the opportunity to experience the world outside from the perspective of the room's owner.
Before long, even the fleeting shadows left by passers-by will become a glimpse into their evolving, ever-changing lives.
Additionally, the interior of the room will change over time, which may reveal some personal information about the one viewing through the window...?

● Pick-me-up for hard times: Maybe your classroom or office doesn't have a window, but it does now, and it's always sunny!
● Progress at your own pace: Use the nap button to change the time of day so you don't have to worry about missing anything.
● Selectable topics: longing and fantasy, sex and curiosity, different windows, different people's rooms.
● Stay focused on the ever-flowing passage of time: As time passes, those who pass by the window and the room's decorations will gradually change. Observe and imagine their stories.
● Adjust the music to your taste: Use the in-room playback device to choose from original, classical, or even... heavy metal?
● Become one with the window: Minimal buttons and UI for maximum immersion.
