Varför Early Access?

“We want Board Game Cafe to be the best possible game it can be for all players, and we think that being public with our development process and incorporating player feedback is the smartest way for us to do that.

We’ve also got a ton of cool content we want to add, and for a small studio like ours having the ability to develop that content with ongoing community support means that we’ll be in a much better position to get Board Game Cafe released fully!”

Ungefär hur länge kommer det här spelet att vara i Early Access?

“We’re planning on adding a full campaign mode, implementing the full gameplay cycle and a wide range of board games and customisation options before we launch into a full 1.0 release. Once our team and the community feel that Board Game Cafe is ‘feature complete’, we’ll transition to a 1.0 release.

As such, we don’t have a firm timeline in mind for Early Access, preferring to take as long as needed to polish the game to a state both us and the community are happy with.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Once the game is feature complete and has all the gameplay elements we want to implement, we plan on expanding those features based on community feedback. This will include:

• More board games to unbox and stock
  
• New items and customisation options for cafes
  
• New game modes to expand the Board Game Cafe experience
  
• More customer dialogues and storylines

”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Right now, we’re actively developing and working on an alpha build of the game that features most of the core mechanics that will be present in the Early Access release. Currently you can play through a very basic version of the campaign mode, and the core gameplay loop is implemented and working. We’ve got to add more board games and implement more of the mechanics you’ll see in the release version of the game, but we’ve build a strong foundation already.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“As a thanks to everyone who wants to support the game early (and for picking up the game before it’s feature complete), we’re offering the game at a lower price point than it will be when it fully releases. This does mean that we will increase the price upon release, but we will clearly communicate this to all players!”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“You can give us feedback in all the usual places, including our , Steam forums for the game and our Twitter!

We’re also posting a ‘monthly mailbag’ each month for the game - publicly answering any and all questions and feedback that players send in to us. Any and all questions and feedback will be answered, giving players a direct insight into how we’re handling their feedback and the feedback of other players.”
