Current State & Development

Swords & Crystals is currently in Beta Phase 1. This indie game has been in active development for over six years, with more than 7500 hours of work poured into it, entirely unpaid and driven purely by passion. Every dollar the game earns will be fully reinvested into development, including improved PvP, 5-player dungeons, a player-driven economy with trading and marketplace system, more bosses/quests/items/zones and full class/race/character customization.

Easy & Accessible Gameplay

Enjoy straightforward and simple game mechanics that are easy to pick up. There is no overwhelming user interface, complex calculations, or confusing numbers to figure out which items are best. The game provides very clear overviews of what can be achieved, what the goals are, where to find specific items, which enemies you’ll face, and their item drop rates.

Quests follow a clear and consistent design. Objectives are short and easy to understand, without long dialogue or story monologues to skip. All quests use the same familiar system, rather than wildly different mechanics like in OSRS. Expect classic, WoW-style tasks such as slaying enemies, capturing towers, collecting items, reaching locations, or hunting rare drops. You always know exactly what to do.

Crafting armor or brewing potions is made effortless, without complicated windows or pop-ups. Everything is designed to be clear, understandable, and accessible, making it enjoyable for players of all experience levels.
