What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I want this game to meet its full potential upon release, and the best way I can achieve this is by having people play my game before release. This will allow me to eliminate as many bugs as possible, and provide a fair and finished experience on release. This will also make sure any new features planned can be polished and tweaked, based on feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan for Verve to come out of early access in mid 2025. I plan for the game to come out of early access once the campaign is finished.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I am planning for many gamemodes to be developed and changed to suit the gameplay of Verve and its players, this means that during early access, Verve will be evolving and changing. I am planning for Verve to get many updates and changes before its full 1.0.0 planned release. I plan on switching to Unreal Engine from Unity this year. I also plan on adding proximity chat, player-hosted servers, and Steam server hosting. These are ambitious goals. Player input and bug reporting will be vital to ensure these features are reach full potential upon release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current game is stable, the core mechanics are finished, and now it's time to polish them with playtesting to see what players do and don't enjoy. You can refer to the "About This" section to see what features are currently implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to introduce a small price increase upon release. This might encourage players to pick up the game in early access so that I can improve the game and have more testers as much as possible before release. The full game will also differ enough that I think it is only fair.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I want to get as much feedback and constructive criticism as possible to ensure my game reaches its fullest potential. Feedback currently is accepted through the Discord server or the Steam forums.”
