What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I hope to receive valuable feedback from players, that will help driving the project in the right direction. Trolddom, as an MMORPG, will be in continual development for hopefully a long time and it's important to involve the players in deciding what kind of content should be added - preferably as early as possible. The game, at the present stage, already has a lot of content, but it would be extremely valuable with player input before things get too much set in stone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Until I'm happy with the width of the content available in the game, mostly focusing on the leveling experience. Considering how long time I've spent on the game so far, I'm going to guess it will take from half a year to a year. As mentioned, the game is an MMORPG so the threshold at which Early Access ends is going to be quite fluid.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access will initially feature the leveling experience from 1 to 10. In order to test as many features of the game, a lot of things that would otherwise be considered "end game" has been squeezed into the lower levels. The goal is to progressively expand the leveling range and while doing so, some talents and game experiences might be moved around to other levels. For example, player-owned worlds is supposed to be an end game feature, but is currently available at level 10.
The aim is to have a maximum level of 60 with a bunch of end-game dungeons and raids.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Level 1 to 10 is available, including all the basic features you'd expect to see in a classic MMORPG (player trading, an auction house, guilds, etc.).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Prices will likely stay the same, but it depends a lot on the cost of operating the game. The goal is to keep pricing the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
