What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Being in early access will allow the game's vision to be fully realized, feedback to be gathered, and more significant changes to be made to the game. Your support will favorably impact the overall quality and speed of the game's development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm actively working on the game and want to provide players with a complete and finished version as soon as possible, as fast as I can. The estimated duration of early access is 12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have many more locations and points of interest, more game mechanics and completed UI/UX, more scenario options and endings, and unique interaction with the AI.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This is a beta version of the initial stage of the game. It is mostly functionally complete, contains 5 game mechanics, 3 locations, 7 points of interest and 2 endings, is perfectly optimized and matches my visual vision of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to gradually raise the price as i ship new content and features”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will play an important role in the development process, they will influence balance edits, development prioritization, visual design and overall look, and much more. Feel free to suggest your ideas via Discord”

About This Game

Through the water you see the outline of Charlotte's palm for the last time and lose sight of her. Somehow you regain consciousness on the shore of an unknown island. Communication is destroyed and a suspiciously acrid haze accumulates in your lungs.
You don't know where to go or where to look, but one thing is certain - you must leave this island!

An Oppressive Atmosphere...

You hear sounds, but you can't see the source. You see a silhouette, but it's the shadow of a toy. You hear someone breathing behind you, but there's no one there. You hear a loud roar, but you can't hear anymore. You are swallowed up by the darkness...

An Independent World...

The world of LOCURA doesn't and won't wait for anyone. Events will happen even if the player is not around, the world will follow its own destiny. You are a small cog, but so important.

They Are Human Beings too, After All...

The game gives you challenges and goals, just like the inhabitants of the island. They also sleep and eat, interact with each other and strive to achieve their goals.

You Have to Be Able to Listen too...

You were not willingly drawn into the island's inhabitants. You may think that the island and its inhabitants have nothing to hide, but this is far from the truth. Listen to the conversations and monologues, they have something to tell you.

Following Your Own Path...

At LOCURA there is no invisible hand guiding you according to a given scenario. Your eyes and interest are the real engines of the scenario, your own scenario. Accept help or offer it, run away or stay, kill or forgive, in the end you will get the ending you have created.
