Why Early Access?

“That is the best option if you are an independent developer and need to
reach to an audience that can provide feedback on your
project. Whether your project is in an advanced state or not, the community provides
unique input to better craft the gameplay, find out bugs and test the
quality of a game. Moreover, the way people feel the game can be different
from yours and that can open to new developments or help correct major flaws.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Hopefully no longer than 24 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“A story driven campaign mode is currently being planned for the full version. It should consist of around 50 playable maps and the aim is to offer more than 10 hours of gaming experience before completing the game. Achievements should come as well. Additional powers, worlds and hostile entities are being designed and under development. To some extent, there is also a roadmap for some graphics/visual improvements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game codebase is 75% complete. The contents are around 50% complete. There will be content updates during the early access period to test new features or gameplay mechanics.
However, not everything is shown in the early access version to avoid spoilers
on what is to come in the full version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is currently at a discounted price due to the early access status. When fully released the price will go up.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Community is strongly encouraged to write reviews and participate to the game discussions. Through the game website bug reports can be filed. Depending on the interest generated by the game there could also be polls that will let players have their say on some game features. Their voices will be heard. In the end there is no joy in sharing a game if the players are not happy with it.”

Early access features

The early access version is going to be updated gradually with more content so that bug fixing and improvements coming from the Community interaction can be more focused on a smaller set of game features. In the current release the players can:

  • Play maps from three different wire dimensions
  • Use three powers: blurring speed, fragment sweep, split plane
  • Experience power-ups: time saver, speed-up and fragment projectile power up
  • 6 Film filters
  • Time trial maps
  • Fight or evade the Absorbers to survive
  • Full gamepad controller support (Xbox, DualShock, X-Input controllers)

About This Game

Wirewalker is a first-person platform game with shooting, action and puzzle elements that brings the player into a mysterious realm where reality materializes mostly on glittering wires dimensions. Map after map the player must face various kinds of challenges that can be mastered using logic, good timing, patience and careful use of the available resources that can be collected around. As the player unlocks and improves new skills to solve the maps and escape new threats, he is dragged into a quest that will uncover the secrets of the realm. What is going on in the universe of Wirewalker and why? Who is orchestrating the course of events behind the curtain?



Use the power of the fragments to unlock the areas of the maps and to throw energetic bolts.





The sources of power will grant you extra skills. Use them wisely since power uses are limited and you do not want to end up being locked in a map.





Whenever there is a clock to beat, move fast and flawlessly along paths and between platforms.





Puzzles and challenges can turn into traps if solved the wrong way. Take your time to think if necessary. Observe as much as you can in the map, work out a plan, go for it.





What you do in the world of Wirewalker might not please everybody. Engage with
hostile entities: evade, destroy or be destroyed.





As the narrative unfolds you will meet other weird characters and interact with dialogues. Word of advice: your line choices might have a subtle impact in the game rewards and events.





Powered by the proprietary WirEngine the game offers an original atmosphere that the player can customize with film filters.
