Why Early Access?

“Knights Crypt is currently an ever-evolving and changing experience, as we progress the game to what it will ultimately be, we want the players join us on the journey to provide feedback and allow us to craft the game into its optimal conclusion.

We hope to increase interest in the game through showcasing its content as we design and implement it. Using feedback forms available through our website, were providing players an oppourtunity to provide their honest opinion of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will remain in early access until 2024. During this time the game will be updated incrementally, with new features, characters and maps coming every month.

There is more information available on our website where players can find exclusive information and updates before info is shared by anyone else. Our schedule is available and information about the content each new version delivers, can be accessed.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We would like to implement each area of the game to an extremely high standard of quality and storytelling. From the forests of Altera, to the deserts of the north, we want to provide a rich landscape of interactions, characters and experiences.

We hope to develop a rich combat and magic system, allowing players to wage war using the various capabilities they develop throughout their journey. We plan to introduce the player into the lore of the game through detail and story heavy dialog. Each character will have their own story for you to discover, with quests and rewards accompanying each new interaction.

We plan to implement a sprawl of dungeons throughout the map, each with their own challenges and requirements for progression. We hope the dungeons will provide a whole other landscape in which the player can demonstrate their magic and swordsmanship.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently contains the rough landscape of Altera, all major areas have been planned out and the forests of Altera already contain the immersive detail we hope to see in all areas of the game.

The player can explore the mountanous home of the Knights Order, with an introduction of the game prefacing the players release into the open world. We have given players a glimpse into the combat and magic system, a number of weapons are equippable and usable with players also able to tap into the magic of the Aether.

Spells can be cast drawing upon this magic, such use is displayed within the UI, along with the health and a quesst compass. Expanding upon this, the UI of the game has been developed to a utilisable state, with players able to navigate to their objectives, monitor their health and magic levels. The currently equipped and selectable weapons are shown in a view when the player scrolls the mouse.

We have implemented dialog for all present characters, granting a view into the rich lore of the lands of Altera.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be priced according to the amount of content within the experience, as we add features, levels and maps we will rise the price to an higher cost, it will be available at a discounted price for the first half of the development period.

After the game has been developed, an appropriate price will be applied to the store page which appropriately reflects the state of the game. The price will be updated at key milestones, announced through our official website.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The advertisement of the content within the game will through social media marketting will allow us to gain the insight of players. We plan to use this feedback as a major source of pressure when implementing and planning new features.
