Why Early Access?

“We believe Early Access is a great way to gather precise feedback and improve The Rift based on the needs of all players. Since a key part of the game revolves around user-generated content, it's crucial to involve the community early to refine these mechanics and ensure the game meets their expectations. This also helps us ensure that every feature works at the highest level of quality.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“In the best-case scenario, with the support of a publisher, we estimate that Early Access could last between one and two years. However, if we choose to self-finance, this period could extend to four to five years, and will also depend on feedback from the community. The final duration will thus be influenced by the reception of the game and comments from players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In addition to addressing bugs and refining game balance, we are aiming to introduce new features based on player feedback in future updates for The Rift. Our goal is to expand the game with additional biomes and environments, as well as more ship customization options. We also hope to introduce new modes to further enhance the experience. A roadmap is planned for the start of Early Access to outline our current development priorities, though it may evolve based on community feedback and project progress.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of The Rift features one biome with several gameplay maps for the 'shooter racing' mode, along with a tutorial to help players familiarize themselves with the game mechanics. A contemplative free flight mode is also available, and the map editor is under validation. Thanks to our previous demos and feedback from the community, we've already made significant improvements to this Early Access version, providing an engaging gameplay experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of The Rift will increase during the Early Access period until it reaches its final retail price when the full version launches.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players are at the center of our creation process. We plan to organize playtest sessions to gather their impressions, and our team runs an active Discord where the community can engage and ask questions. Additionally, we conduct numerous surveys to collect player feedback on their experience. We believe that the opinions and suggestions of our community are vital for shaping a quality game, which is why we started collaborating with them since the release of our first prototype and will continue to keep them informed about the game's progress and our future plans.”
