It is decreed that the spirits themselves breathed life into the once-barren lands home to the Callidryas Sultanate. Once a lone beacon of life in the deserted lands, the kingdom is now imploding under the assault of a usurping cult - the royal family is presumed dead. Something has forced the spirits into hiding. They have stopped answering our calls, and the water they brought to these lands is drying up. Who will be our salvation?


You are Rill, an exiled young prince traversing the wild depths of your besieged kingdom, uncovering the plot against your - recently overthrown - royal family. Explore the forgotten corners of what was once your kingdom, filling out your map and discovering hidden secrets. But you are not alone. Joining you on this quest for salvation is a wisp companion, Lumi, sent to guide your path by the benevolent spirits, now in hiding. But what great threat could harm even the spirits themselves?


Play as Rill, a uniquely agile and free-flowing frog. Swing, dash, grapple, and dive your way through over 10 unique zones! The acrobatics of Rill know no bounds! Discover imaginative uses for all your abilities to travel ground, air and water at break-neck pace. Delve into self-contained dungeon temples that require true skill and wit. Solve the mysteries of these dormant places of power and uncover the plot against Rill's family, and gain forgotten powers.


Rill is being hunted! Engage in swordplay with a cast of dynamic enemies and bosses, encouraging you to develop and unleash fluid combos through the deep movement system, combat abilities and equipment loadouts. Pick the right gear for the job, as every equipment piece grants powerful boons but equally powerful detriments. Discover new abilities for Rill throughout your quest, and unlock the potential of Lumi to unleash devastating magical attacks.


The characters and world of Frogreign are brought to life in a refined pixel art style, with frame-by-frame animation, beautiful fantasy environments and evocative 2D lighting.
SNES-inspired musical score by Alejandro Pérez Heinze, a composer for Kena: Bridge of Spirits who has worked alongside the composers that brought you the recognisable soundtrack of 'Journey'. This soundtrack will be complemented by classic-sounding sound effects inspired by SNES-era games - with a modern flair!
