Why Early Access?

“Metalstorm is an intense, fast-paced air combat game where competitive play and progression are at the forefront. While the core gameplay is already solid, we believe Early Access will allow us to fine-tune key systems such as progression, combat mechanics, and gameplay balance with input from our community. We also plan to polish the UI/UX and introduce additional features requested by players, ensuring that the final launch will soar smoothly.

“We expect to stay in Early Access for at least 6 months, but this may extend based on community feedback and development needs.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Metalstorm on PC will feature a more complete experience, with improved aircraft balance, more gameplay options, and deeper progression systems. We’re also enhancing the UI and overall polish to make the game smoother on PC.

Beyond refinements, we’ll be expanding content with new aircraft, game modes, and events. Our goal is to ensure Metalstorm launches as an exciting, competitive air combat game.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Metalstorm is fully playable, featuring intense online dogfights, 40 unique aircraft to pilot, and diverse environments for combat. Pilots can participate in seasonal content, limited-time events, while battling across different game modes while unlocking new planes and upgrades. You can take to the skies solo or team up with your squadron to dominate the battlefield. With cross-play, you can coordinate with friends across platforms, compete in team-based events, and climb the leaderboards together.

We have been working on and improving Metalstorm since our closed beta in 2023, so this version is one that we believe offers a great core experience, while still allowing us time to incorporate feedback from Early Access players.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, Metalstorm will remain free-to-play after Early Access with optional cosmetics and passes available for purchase.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The Metalstorm community will play a key role in shaping the game’s future. We’ll be actively monitoring feedback across Steam forums, our official Discord and social media, while also using in-game analytics to identify needed improvements for the PC version.

Community insights will help us refine aircraft balance, improve player experience, and explore potential new features that stay true to our vision for the game. Our official Discord server and Steam Community discussion forums offer the best places to leave feedback and engage in healthy discussions with other players. Additionally, you can expect to see regular patch notes and updates from our dev team across these platforms to keep up with our improvements.

Metalstorm is a fast-paced 5v5 air combat shooter. Choose from a roster of iconic jets, customize your build, and take to the skies against other pilots worldwide. Every aircraft brings its own weapons, handling, strengths, and unique abilities, giving you different ways to approach each fight.

GAMEPLAY

Winning a dogfight isn't just about getting your guns on target. Positioning, timing, and knowing how to use the environment make all the difference.

Dive into an icy canyon to break a missile lock, fly low between buildings to catch an opponent off guard, or push your aircraft to its limits to turn a bad engagement in your favor.

Metalstorm's intuitive controls make it easy to get into the action, while aircraft matchups, weapons, flight dynamics, maps, and team strategy give you plenty to master.

CHOOSE YOUR JET

Every aircraft in Metalstorm fills a distinct tactical role, and every one can hold its own in the right hands. Fly iconic jets spanning the 1950s through the latest modern generations, from legendary MiGs, Sukhois, and Mirages to American fighters like the F-14, F-35, F-22, F-16, and F-15. Even experimental aircraft that never saw combat, like the forward-swept Su-47, are in the hangar.

UPGRADE YOUR FIGHTER

Before heading into battle, assemble a loadout that fits your playstyle. Upgrade speed, durability, and firepower across multiple system trees, equip performance mods, and unlock unique abilities that change how your aircraft fights.
