Voting for the Space Engineers Video Competition has Begun!

Hello, Engineers!

We’re excited to kick off the first day of voting for the Space Engineers Video Competition!

-Check out the first batch of entries, which have been uploaded to our YouTube channel:
-We will continue to upload batches of entries between Monday, May 20 - Friday, May 31, 2019.
-Engineers will have 24 hours to vote on each batch of video entries.
-The entries are being uploaded in alphabetical order based on their titles.
-You will be notified about each new batch of videos being uploaded to our YouTube channel each day via our social media (Facebook, Twitter, Discord, etc.).
-Voting for each batch of entries will last 24 hours; the number of thumbs up/likes that each video receives will be time stamped in the description of each video once the voting period ends.
-We will continue this process and until May 31.
*Please note: thumbs up/likes (votes) that entries receive after their respective voting periods end are appreciated, but they WILL NOT be counted as official votes. We have decided to structure the voting in this way so each video has an equal opportunity to earn votes.

All contestants have been made aware that utilizing copyrighted music in their entries is prohibited unless they have permission to use the aforementioned copyrighted music, which has been clearly stated here:

With that in mind, we weren’t able to include some entries in the competition because they utilized copyrighted music. We’ve also done our best to make sure each entry doesn’t include copyrighted music, but if an entry does include copyrighted material and it gets removed from our YouTube channel due to a copyright claim, we are unable to prevent this.

Since we’re uploading quite a few entries to the Space Engineers YouTube channel, don’t be surprised if you receive a few more YouTube notifications than you otherwise normally would if you’re subscribed to our channel.

Keep in mind that we didn’t always receive all of the information regarding what mods were utilized in each video entry. Likewise, we didn’t always know every player who participated in each submission. Make sure you check out the credits for each video entry if they have them.

The reason we're not uploading all entries at the same time is because we don't want to spam our YouTube channel with videos, nor peoples' inboxes with YouTube notifications from our channel. We're doing our best to promote entries equally because we think they're all awesome!

Last, but certainly not least, we would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone that has participated in this year’s Space Engineers Video Competition! We received a ton of entertaining, unique and simply awe-inspiring entries.

As a token of our appreciation and in the spirit of teamwork-one of the defining traits of Space Engineers-we will be sending all contestants a complimentary skin set after the winners of the competition are announced on Saturday, June 1, 2019. This includes those contestants whose entries weren’t selected to be uploaded to our YouTube channel based on the rules of the competition.

Thanks for reading and enjoy the competition!:steamhappy:

-Fixed modded scripts not being able to be whitelisted even when meeting criteria
-Fixed sliding door emissivity not being changed properly when using the block via Timer Blocks
-Fixed DLC blocks missing from production screen blueprints

-Fixed a couple of crashes including one in BP screen when trying to copy BP to clipboard when there is something already
-Fixed a crash when reloading a scene with many engineer characters with different skins
-Fixed a crash in production screen when displaying what components a blueprint needs
-Fixed a crash when exiting a cryo chamber

Support Site Bugs

-Fixed an issue with subparts being too slippery for walking
-Fixed an issue where projected DLC blocks could not be welded on dedicated servers
-Fixed an issue with terminal block groups from a blueprint not reappearing after re-welding the blueprint
-Fixed multiple issues with artificial mass and space ball blocks not being affected by gravity generators
-Fixed an issue where game froze up after canceling mod downloads during loading (The last batch approved by steam API is downloaded anyway)
-Fixed block groups temporarily disappearing after merging/unmerging
-Fixed DLC armory, armory lockers and lockers blocks accidentally being able to be used by conveyor systems

About This Game

Space Engineers is an open world sandbox game defined by creativity and exploration.

It is a sandbox game about engineering, construction, exploration and survival in space and on planets. Players build space ships, wheeled vehicles, space stations, planetary outposts of various sizes and uses (civil and military), pilot ships and travel through space to explore planets and gather resources to survive. Featuring both creative and survival modes, there is no limit to what can be built, utilized and explored.

Space Engineers features a realistic, volumetric-based physics engine: everything in the game can be assembled, disassembled, damaged and destroyed. The game can be played either in single or multiplayer modes.

Volumetric objects are structures composed from block-like modules interlocked in a grid. Volumetric objects behave like real physical objects with mass, inertia and velocity. Individual modules have real volume and storage capacity.

Space Engineers is inspired by reality and by how things work. Think about modern-day NASA technology extrapolated 60 years into the future. Space Engineers strives to follow the laws of physics and doesn't use technologies that wouldn't be feasible in the near future.

Space Engineers concentrates on construction and exploration aspects, but can be played as a survival shooter as well. We expect players will avoid engaging in direct man-to-man combat and instead use their creativity and engineering skills to build war machines and fortifications to survive in space and on planets. Space Engineers shouldn’t be about troops; it should be about the machinery you build.

Performance Notes

The performance depends on the complexity of your world and the configuration of your computer. Simple worlds run smoothly even on low-end computers, but a more complex world with rich object interactions could overload even high-end computers.

Please read our performance advices:

Minimum requirements represent the bare minimum to run simple scenes and don’t guarantee a perfect experience.
