Why Early Access?

“Reaper's Isle was initially developed by a small student team, with the core game having been made in around 9 months. Because of this, the team would like to continue to bug fix, update art, and make other alterations with the helpful comments and suggestions of the community. After the team does some significant polish, we hope to have a more "official" release. The game will continue to be free.”

“The game will continue to be in Early Access until at least November 2023.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have fewer bugs, more props, polished art, real voice actors, narrative updates, and more in-depth changes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This Early Access version of the game is fully playable from start to finish. There are around 45 minutes of gameplay for new players. However, this base game has been made in a time span of approximately 9 months by a team of students. This means there are still many bugs to be found and fixed. Along with this, there is a significant level of polish the team would like to better the game. Please refer to the "About This" section to see more details about gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Reaper's Isle will always be free to play for any version and any updates.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our team would love for the community to give us suggestions on how to better the gameplay, puzzles, and narrative. The community also provides valuable help in finding bugs, so that they can be fixed and make the game better for everyone.”
