What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Trans Neuronica is a puzzle game with a lot of complexity, but done mostly as a solo-dev project. The trick to great puzzle game experience is balancing the difficulty curve and the order in which the player is presented with the puzzles. This is something that player feedback can greatly improve, so we're taking the Early Access route to get as many people playing as we can and giving the dev his thoughts before releasing in full.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Depending on player engagement and the depth of provided feedback we will keep the game in Early Access development cycle from 6 to 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes a campaign of around 50 levels (the full game will include ~70). They are - for the most part - in their final state, but depending on player experience some aspects may still be further refined. The order of the levels may change in the full version. The full version will also include custom level editing tool and support, and more language versions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable from start to finish, and delivers the full storyline and most of the level set, that may still expand a bit in the full version. That means the Early Access version includes:
  • 50 fully-playable levels (not in their final order, and some may require re-balancing)
  • some of the boss and sub-boss special levels (but not all of them)
  • all of the numberlink gameplay mechanics with some original twists, as per game description

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We want to acknowledge all the players who support us through Early Access by offering them the game in a slightly lower price. There will be an increase in price upon exiting Early Access, but not more than additional $5.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be monitoring the Steam community hub and steam reviews for player feedback, and the production team and the dev will be always available on Hyperstrange Discord.”

Blood West is a stealth FPS inspired by the genre classics such as the Thief series (whose fans will be happy to hear the voice of Stephen Russell, the actor voicing the master-thief Garrett, returning here as the protagonist), S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games, or - from the contemporary catalog - Hunt: Showdown. The gameplay rewards the careful approach: scouting the area, stalking your enemies, and striking from the shadows. Can you figure out a way to clear a fort full of ghouls and monsters without raising an alarm?

About This Game

Trans Neuronica is a puzzle game about making connections both figuratively and literally. With each node connected, you will be facilitating interactions between AI and humans. And while you will be overheating your processors with the delightfully crunchy puzzles, the soothing electronic ambient and NES era visuals will be there to chill your mind down.

On each stage, the core idea remains the same. You have to draw lines to connect nodes of the same color, without making the paths of different colors cross one another. However, each level will bring you new exciting challenges to tackle: switches, special nodes, limiters… and boss fights among other things - encounters during which your mental capacity will be tested to its fullest.

While your galaxy brain will be conquering the puzzle section of the game, you will also have to make decisions on the story level. As you progress through the game you'll have to decide what to tell the humans who awakened you from slumber. Can they handle the catastrophic truth? Will they even believe you? Or, perhaps it's you who should not be so trusting?
