About This Game

Emily is walking home. The path in front of her is a line of letters, and each letter you type turns into a block she can walk on. Type a wrong key and your combo is gone.

  • 20 levels in five worlds: Feinweh, Komorebi, Mangata, Aprocity and Hiraeth
  • A boss at the end of each world, fought by typing the letters it throws at you
  • Challenges on the road: locks to open before the timer runs out, squares to push into place, blocks to knock away
  • Four difficulties, Easy, Medium, Hard and Oni, each with its own word lists
  • When you start a New Game you choose how to type: English words, Chinese input or Japanese input. You can change it later in Options
  • The number keys set Emily's walking speed; long combos fill the treasure chest at the end of each level
  • Save points between levels, and a challenge mode for high scores
  • A pixel-art look for the whole game
  • A main menu in the same pixel style as the Options window, with a row of small flags at the bottom to switch the menu language with one click

Keyboard only.
The menus are in seven languages: English, 简体中文, 日本語, Deutsch, Français, Español and Português (Brasil).
The words you type are English.
An optional Chinese input mode: each block shows a Chinese character, and you type it with the Latin letters, the way a Chinese input method works.
An optional Japanese input mode: each block shows one kana, hiragana or katakana, and you type its reading in romaji, the way a Japanese input method works. Where romaji has two spellings (shi/si, chi/ti, tsu/tu, fu/hu, ji/zi), both are accepted. The word lists have four difficulty levels, like the English ones.
You choose how to type when you start a New Game, and you can change it later in Options. The menus stay in the menu language you picked; the typing mode is a separate choice.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The menus and this store page in German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese were translated with the help of an AI language model; native speakers have not reviewed them yet. The character Emily, the letter blocks and the pixel font were drawn with AI assistance. The game's original artwork is hand-made and was converted to the pixel style by code.
