What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We're a small, self-funded team that's devoted to making Strayed the best VR multiplayer survival game. We need players to provide feedback and report bugs so that we can make improvements to the game.

Additionally, an early access release will help provide funding to our team, allowing us to work full-time on Strayed. We also plan to hire developers to help us create more content and improve the gameplay experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for Strayed to be in Early Access for approximately one year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During early access we will be utilizing feedback from our community to help us improve core gameplay mechanics and expand upon them in preparation for Strayed's full release. Bug reports will be especially helpful in ensuring that players will have a reliable experience in the full release. Furthermore, as we progress through Early Access we plan to add more content. This may include new areas to explore, new weapons, new animals, NPCs, and vehicles.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Strayed consists of all the main game features: procedural island generation, multiplayer networking, resource gathering, crafting, base building, PvP, teams, proximity voice chat, hunting, looting, and loot management. There are bugs but the game is playable and has a good amount of polish.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Strayed will stay consistent throughout the entirety of Early Access. Strayed may release at a different price upon leaving Early Access, but that is not decided yet.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be accepting bug reports and collecting feedback on gameplay features, as well as what content the community would like to see.”

About This Game

Strayed is a PvP-focused, open-world multiplayer VR survival game. Start with a rock and a torch, gather resources, and build a base to call your own. Go solo or team up with friends to fight other players, raid their bases, and defend your loot.

Wash up on the beach, craft your first tools, and find somewhere to build. Store your supplies and head out for better gear. Other players are after the same loot.

Explore randomly generated islands with forests, deserts, tundra, and vast oceans. Search abandoned structures for supplies. Travel by ATV, boat, or helicopter.

Build a hideout or a stronghold for your team. Set traps, upgrade your workbench, and install electrical and irrigation systems. Stock up for your next raid and prepare to defend your base.

Make friends and enemies through proximity voice chat. Most players shoot before talking, so watch your back. Who you trust is your call.
