“We expect Early Access to last roughly 6 to 12 months, depending on how development and community feedback go. That timeline may shift if major systems need more polish before a full release.”

“We plan to expand Battle for the Hill beyond the current federal government focus into a fuller political world. That includes a working economy, corporations, state-level governments, and deeper systems that connect campaigns, power, and policy. The full version should feel like a complete political simulation rather than a growing foundation.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players can already create a politician, campaign, and compete for office in a working federal government simulator. Which countries not just limited to The United States. That includes Congress, the Presidency, the courts, and an updated Executive Branch for all countries. Early Access is playable now, with more systems still being built and refined.”

“Battle for the Hill is free to play during Early Access, and we plan to keep it free after full release.”

“We involve the community throughout Early Access through Steam Discussions and Discord. Players can report bugs, suggest features, and give feedback on balance and new systems. Feasible ideas will be prioritized into the development roadmap whenever possible.”

“Battle for the hill is a great game to get immersed in, from the multi-party system to the bill creation, no matter where you are on the political spectrum you are on there is a party for you. From right wing maga loving gop to far left socialists, you pick a side and go for the throat. Each party has their own discord so you can make friends or enemies or even frenemies. The election system is nice, raising stats, entering primaries, seeing how far you can go to win an election, the outcome is always fascinating. You can run attack ads, campaign for your colleges, change your states positions if you are elected governor, they even have gerrymandering if that is your thing. If you want to experience an exciting yet sometimes frustrating political simulation game battle for the hill is one you should try out. Will you be next? “Battle for the Hill is a video game which is everything BUT a video game. It's a crash course on the real world via the most relevant topic in our lives: Our Government. Much like our real governments, disagreement and depression are the two things that come to mind first. However BFTH manages to circumvent reality and produce a sense of community among "politicians," causing us to think critically about issues we normally would have a safe answer for. In Battle for the Hill, unlike most simulations, the reality of "consequences" heralds players to doom or success. Resource management in cash or having to actually manage a group of people...your actions can have severe repercussions on hundreds of people and they develop situations you have to respond to. In BFTH you can be a Senator, Governor, Congress person, Party political figure such as Chair, President, SCOTUS, Cabinet, and else. There's always room for opportunity and a broom for the inactive; to be replaced by you...potentially vibrant and ambitious enough to make it to the top. BFTH isn't fun because it's a video game. It's entertaining because it's a community; Since the game has negative and positive implications for your behavior, your actions, and your decisions... BFTH becomes a real simulation. There is no total failure, but no total victory either. Everything is a perspective, and if you enjoy the realism of a world which makes you contemplate and consider the consequentialism of a "world," You'll learn more about politics here than you would from an 80 year old socialist professor at Harvard.”
