“Fish Folk is an open source and community-centric game. As game developers who came up through the modding scene we thrive on community feedback.

We've effectively been in early access since we first released the game to the public in September 2021. Ever since then we've remained true to the mantra of release early; release often.”

“We expect to remain in Early Access for the first half of 2024. The stable v1.0 release of Fish Folk: Jumpy is tentatively planned for July 2024.”

  • Dynamic characters v0.1 (essential wearables, emotes & animations)
  • Level editor v0.1
  • Lua modding

“The game is being developed completely in the open on our GitHub repo and Discord server. Players get to see exactly how the [s]sausage[/s] fish cake is made, and aspiring modders can easily jump in when- and wherever they feel comfortable!”
