What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to make the best game possible, and that means involving the community. The demo for RAM was instrumental for getting the foundation of the game down, so we want to continue this relationship with the community. Early Access will get RAM into your hands much sooner and we can start gathering feedback about balance and what you would like to see as development continues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for early access to last around a year, depending on how the feedback around the game develops, with large updates every 3-4 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the final version to have a completed storyline, a fleshed out endgame difficulty modifier system, new stages, and more playable bots.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game features 6 bots, as well as 2 Stages. It has daily challenge runs with a leaderboard to compete for high scores, as well as minigames in the hub area. It also has the beginning of the storyline which will continue to be added over the coming updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the game will remain the same price. No matter when you join us, it will be the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have an active discord server with lots of user discussion, where we gather and collate feedback that the team then acts on.”

About This Game

THE ROGUELIKE WITH NO PLAYER CHARACTER

RAM is a top-down roguelike shooter with a defining twist: you don’t have a body. You play as a rogue AI, jumping between enemy robots to survive. Turn your enemies into your weapons and fight your way through a post-apocalyptic world run by quirky robots.

BODY-SWAPPING COMBAT

Every enemy is a potential host. Switch control at a moment’s notice between unique enemy types, each with a distinct moveset and playstyle, and their own arsenal of upgrades to unlock.

APOCALYPSE COMES TO THE POST-APOCALYPSE

Digital pets. Student projects. Sentient memes. Within a year, they were all that remained of intelligent life. After ten, it was just the strong ones. And in 2120… one of them made you. How much longer until there’s nothing left at all?
Traverse the ruins of the human world across multiple procedurally-generated levels, and contend with the eccentric mechanical societies that have risen to inhabit them.

STYLE IS LEGAL TENDER

RAM expands the style systems seen in games like Devil May Cry and Ultrakill by making style points in-run currency. Master combat techniques and execute trickshots to earn a diverse array of upgrades that modify how each host robot functions, then pit your accumulated strength against dangerous bosses with their own unique swap-related mechanics.
