Why Early Access?

“Over the past year we have run several playtests of Go-Go Town! and we have received wonderful feedback, suggestions, and critique from the community. The game is already stronger thanks to this, and while we have an long-term vision for Go-Go Town! in our heads, we want to continue collaborating with our community to reach this vision.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have so many fun ideas on how to expand Go-Go Town! after release, but our plan is to first reach what feels like a strong “1.0” state and wrap up Early Access (check out the roadmap to see what that means in reality!)

As we continue to work through EA with the community, we'll be able to communicate dates more clearly; our current intention is to stay in EA for at least 1 year and will launch into V1 in the first half of 2026! ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Please note: some of these features might be tested throughout Early Access.

Online Multiplayer
Deeper and more varied management systems
More content (things to build, wear, place, interact with)
More maps and biomes
Fleshed out narrative - both overall game story and those of individual townies
And lots more we’ve yet to decide - that’s why we’re doing Early Access after all!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Go-Go Town! is a game that you can experience right now. You can play from start to end, with the full gameplay loop in place. This is thanks to the year of playtests we've already run before even entering EA!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes! We want our Early Access supporters to get Go-Go Town! for the best possible price, reflecting its in-development state - think of it like a discount for being an early bird. We haven’t decided on the exact release price yet, but you can expect a small price increase once we launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We already have a thriving Discord community and Steam Discussion area. We have been receiving a lot of feedback, comments, etc in both of these areas and we're actively monitoring these. We also run polls for development features on Discord to get our community to vote on things!

You might see things shuffle around in development priority, depending on what we, and the community, want to focus on together.”

You’ve landed the dream job- mayor of a picturesque town rife with potential - congrats! The spec promised rolling hills & friendly locals.

What it DIDN’T mention was the crumbling economy, vacant homes, and the logistics system that is just mostly you.

BUILD AND EXPAND

Build and manage everything in your town, from the ground up. Plot out zoning, place buildings, subways, entice visitors to move in full time, hire workers, stock shops, automate pipelines - generally EVERYTHING to keep the town running, and making money.

AUTOMATE WITH INTENT

Assign workers, optimise supply chains, set-up logistics networks and watch your systems flourish. Will you be able to trust in your automated systems to keep things moving? Or will you be the Mayor of Micromanagement?

CHAOTIC CO-OP CAPITALISM

Play solo for ultimate control over your town, making every corner exactly to your liking. Or will you join forces with friends for total co-op chaos? As long as the profits continue rolling in, chaos can continue to reign. Just don’t spend all that time running each other over.
