What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I'm releasing this a bit earlier than finished to build a community that can decide what direction the game goes in, since I want this game to be for its players more than anything.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 3 - 5 Months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Here is a list of all the unreleased (per time of writing) features I ideally plan on adding before marking the game as full release:

Balance
World loot stashes
Fishing
Mining
Endgame content
Further Map development to make it feel less empty”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game's current state includes a fully playable game with a start and end point and lots of exploring. The map has some empty areas, the game's balance may be off, and there isn't as much content as there will be.

For a list of current features and how the game looks more in depth, refer to the description.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will not change when we leave early access. It will remain free to play for everyone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Please join the discord and give me constructive feedback and recommendations if you like the game. It will help me immensely. Thank you!”

About This Game

Journey with your friends in the world of Ferromon Together and take on the 10 towers with over 140 Ferromon to save the world's inhabitants from the Tainted. The entire game is free to play, with a cosmetic pass DLC available to those who want to support development. Work together with your friends to build, craft, and train to progress in this fun to play RPG.

First of all of course is the combat. You will be exploring with your friends and catching many monsters. each monster has certain unique stats to help it in battle

As you can see in the FerroBook, each Ferromon has 5 stats: Health, Attack, Speed, Healing, and Jamming. Health, attack, and speed work how you would imagine them to, while healing determines how much extra healing is applied to you, and how much overflow healing goes to your injured party members. In order to counteract healing specialized monsters, Jamming lowers the enemy Ferromon's ability to heal.

There are 10 types in Ferromon, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Having a balanced team of Ferromon allows you to stand up to any challenge. Each Ferromon has a primary typing, although some have an attack typing. This attack typing doesn't contribute to weakness; however, it adds 80% damage to moves used of that type.

All Ferromon have a set species skills. They don't learn new skills as they grow stronger. In order to learn new skills, Ferromon undergo absorption by using the absorption stone. This stone allows Ferromon to absorb other Ferromon to gain one of their skills. Ferromon with lower stats tend to have better skills, so absorbing a good move from a low stat monster into a high stat monster is favorable.

Once some Ferromon reach a certain level, if you have an emergence stone in your world, they can emerge into a stronger form. There are two tiers of emergence stones. For stronger Ferromon, you will need the second-tier stone.

In order to get useful world utilities, you craft them using drops obtained by defeating wild Ferromon of a certain type and emergence tier.
That leads me to the building system!

Take control of the backpack drone to place and destroy any placeable items you have crafted. In addition to utilities to help you get stronger, there are walls, doors, floors, fences and more. Build an awesome base with your friends. It's also advisable to build around your utilities, as nefarious things can happen at the end of the world's cycle.

Now arguably most importantly, what exactly can you do with your friends? The answer is everything! Every non pvp battle that occurs in the world can be joined by 9 players! This is done through the Link System. When you are linked in a battle, all damage, jamming, and healing to the enemy is replicated, as well as half the damage to your monsters and half of friendly healing. This allows you to strategically work with your friends to take down strong enemies.

Work together to clear the 10 Towers that are spread out across the map, and the final boss that comes after that!
