About This Game

Jack, a bitter mastermind, wakes up from a coma that has weakened his mind and body but not his resolve.
They locked him up in a coffin on rails, and now its up to you, to show that you can haunt them even from this side of the grave.
Hack and take control of the relics of a time long past - a War saint-prison train, the living cemetery that is the mausoleum and finally the Temples occupied by the followers of the sycophant usurpers that reign unchallenged from up-high.

Train
Forget Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, as your six actual needs need to be trained back to their full capacity-if you are to even stand a chance. Invest your well-being to either finish tasks faster or sacrifice them to Caleb, your brain implant, to become an unstoppable force at hacking.

Hack

The days of the techno-pagans were long past, but you are a sucker for retro solutions. Breach sophisticated systems and break into the holiest of holies, in three different ways:
1. Using time and effort in a clicker system (with an available autoclicker upgrade).
2. Bribing the security teams or persons of interest using cold, hard Drachmas.
3. Straight up nuking the system you are targeting for good measure.

Hustle
You don't have anyone (or anyone's wallet) to fall back onto. To become a self made man (for the second time in your life) you can take up side jobs from the black market from randos on the fly for immediate payoffs or follow your dreams and open a bookshop for a slow-burn passive income. Or both.

Build
Temples are meant to be revered but most importantly to help the faithful. Build up bases which produce resources automatically and manage work hours for max efficiency. Will you work the laborers to the bone for a higher reward or help them live a happy life?

Weaponize

The Saint that became a prison can be restored to its former glory as a war-machine. Build wagons and equip them with as many weapon systems and upgrades as you can fit, to stay safe. Or make the opposition feel very much unsafe.

Upgrade

You always had a knack for improvements. Research and empower everything you touch: The train weaponry, the building on the base, your implant's hacking ability and many more using two different methods- Time or Resources.

Produce
Six different resources require your attention, time and infrastructure. Balance automated gathering or use your time to expedite production for faster turn around. The mausoleum as well as each temple have a different profile that can be min-maxed as soon as you learn the ropes.

Travel

Ride through the dark futuristic world to either defend from threats or hide from the enemy. You are in a train after all. Position is as important as timing in the grand scheme of things.

Experience

Carbonflesh is an atmospheric, grimdark adventure with an 80’s nostalgia drenched soundtrack. Its a personal story that plays like an 90's training montage, without taking away any of the nuances or choices that Jack would have to make in the minute to minute life (or death) situation he is on.

Its a love letter to all the movies and games that have inspired generations with mostly their souls besides their quality. Movies like Hardware, Blade Runner, Escape from New York, Johnny Mnemonic and Dark City or Games like Punch Club, The Room, Starcraft and most of the point and click titles from way back when- as well as every early 3D cutscene that came out in a game in the end of the 1990s.
