Why Early Access?

“We have been working with our community for a long time since the appearance of the first alpha versions of the game. Early access will allow us to get valuable feedback from the players. Ocean Is Home is a huge game, with a big number of points of interaction, a lot of mechanics, a lot of content ready for implementation. We believe that working closely with the players will allow us to implement the exact things that they need most more quickly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least one year, but maybe longer - everything will depend on the feedback of our players and on the amount of new content added.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have more diverse locations, we plan to add new islands for the player to visit, add more new content for house building and renovation, add more crafting items and full interaction with most of the characters in the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The main features are already available to the player: building and repairing your home, basic ways to earn money, crafting basic items, and the main island locations. The game is fully playable, but there may be minor bugs. Next in line to add a quest system and more opportunities to start your own business.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No definitive plans here yet, but it is likely that the price will be increased over the course of the Early Access period.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The main channel of communication with the players is our Discord server. There, players can express their ideas and thoughts about the game, as well as receive technical support and guidance on the game. We also plan to use the Steam forums to discuss ideas from our players, get feedback on the current version of the game. We have been working with our players for many years and plan to expand the interaction as much as possible.”
