Why Early Access?

“Unscripted is developed and released episodically, which allows us to get player feedback very early as we shape development. However, our previous game showed us some of the downfalls of episodic releases: tight deadlines and having to sell each episode as an individual DLC. Early Access allows us to get all the benefits of episodic releases, without players having to pay for each episode individually.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our goal to add to the game until the story is complete, we estimate that this will take 12- 24 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our hope is to add more content. The core gameplay, making choices in an interactive narrative about life, love and friendships, will stay the same throughout but being in early access allows us to adjust and build on our initial vision according to player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, only one episode is available, offering roughly 1-2 hours of gameplay. The episode features a branching narrative with multiple endings and acts as an introduction to the world and the characters. It also includes a romantic branch with one of the five planned romanceable characters.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be much shorter in the beginning. As a reflection of its current length and a sign of appreciation to early supporters, the game will be cheaper during early access than on full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community is incredibly important to us. For our previous game we relied heavily on Discord to maintain a healthy and ongoing relationship with players, listening and interacting with them on a regular basis. We also regularly deep dive into Steam reviews and comments on the community hub. The best way to give us feedback and interact with the development team is on our Unscripted Discord server where we're most active.”
