Why Early Access?

“Knowing that an RTS is a difficult genre to build for, we believe working alongside the community to make it iteratively better will be the quickest way to close the feedback loop and refine it quickly.

Releasing on early access should allow players to get a good sense of the gameplay and cinematics while the rest of the missions are built.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“1-2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The early access version will start with three playable missions and online multiplayer.

This is so that the player can get a polished sense of the game, and test out things like:

- Unit movement
- Unit micro
- Economy management
- Base building
- Unit training / creation
- The unit selection system
- The pace of the game

These are things I have put great emphasis on when building the game, and I will continue to refine these throughout the development process, based on player feedback.

We plan to build 12 Playable missions for each race. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“When we release into EA, the following modes will be available:

3 Playable missions
1 v 1 (vs AI)
P V P (online multiplayer)
3 Heroes vs 1 Commander (online)”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, it will be more expensive when we do a full release since all the above functionality will have been delivered.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'll be adding a forum for feedback from the community and making adjustments accordingly.

I'll also be closely following reviews and feedback to make sure I am as close to the community during development as possible.”

About This Game

Command the Space-F. Unleash the Shroomies.

Fungal Front is a fast-paced action RTS set on Mycopia, a glowing fungal world that fights back. Harvest serum, raise a base, and throw armies of Guardians, hover tanks and mechs against swarms of Mantises, Pantherax and fire-breathing Shroowings.

3 Heroes vs 1 Commander

Three players take the Shroomie heroes, the Mantis, the Huntress and the Shroowing, each with three abilities and a full RTS camera. One player commands the Space-F base. The commander has 10 minutes to harvest the serum, and the heroes have 10 minutes to hunt down the engineers and stop it.

The Story

The year is 2062. Antibiotics have failed, and a new superbug is spreading. After years of searching the void, explorers discover Mycopia: home of the Shroomies, who fight fiercely for their Queen, and rich in immune-boosting mycelic serum.

You command the human mission on Mycopia: extract the serum and bring it home to begin formulating a cure, or take the Shroomies' side and drive the invaders off your world.
