Why Early Access?

“We want to make the best game we can, in order to do so we want to get community feedback to steer development in the right direction. Journeyman aspires to give players a larger world with more freedom to explore the game mechanics.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“One year at least, but likely more depending on the amount of content we want to add.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have overworld exploration including multiple cities, points of interest, handcrafted dungeons, and mounts. We also plan to expand our current number of races, classes, boss encounters, enemies, armor, weapons, and customization options. All of this is in addition to new features the community expresses interest in.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, we support 1-10 player co-op dungeons, multiple PvP modes, and a hub town for buying and selling equipment.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“During Early Access, the price will increase gradually and fairly based on the amount of content within the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a Discord server at https://discord.gg/VvNzYW793D and are actively looking for involvement in the form of feedback and suggestions. Players are encouraged to contact us directly with ideas for new features or balance concerns. Furthermore, anyone that wishes to be a part of the unstable testing branch will receive special access to more frequent updates in order to work closer to the dev-team.”

About This Game


The catacombs are dark and rife with the stench of undeath. What manner of foes linger beneath the city, no one can say, but it can be suffered no longer. Train, gear up, and gather your party to journey below the graveyard city of Tombsteel. Steel yourselves, resurface, resupply, and strategize before braving the depths again.


Journeyman offers the familiar tactical, party-based combat of traditional CRPGs and tabletop RPGs while adapting the Souls-like ARPG feel. Instead of pausing and planning, each party member must rely on each other in Realtime. Gone are the days of THAC0 and auto-attacks.



Forget behing a henchman. Journeyman was designed for the ground up for co-op. Embark on quests by yourself or with friends, in scenarios designed for both configurations.



Play as a Warrior, Rogue, Wizard, Paladin, Ranger, or Bard. Each class may choose to specialize or remain a generalist based on your party's unique needs. Pick from a vast assortment of familiar talents, situational tools, and lifesaving utilities, ensuring no two playstyles are alike. Rely on your allies for support as you hurl magic fireballs from afar or charge headfirst into the front lines.






No one is handing out quests. Prove yourself to the local lords, or keep an ear out for rumors after buying the local tavern-goers a few rounds. Will you side with the forces of justice or watch the world burn?



Hone your skills against fellow champions, testing out new build configurations. Journeyman features a mid-match progression system where you earn gold from kills to buy and sell gear to gain the upper hand.
