Why Early Access?

“The base game is functional and almost complete, however we feel that the game can be expanded. Beat the Markets is based on a old forgotten board game from the 80's. A family favorite. We decided to take the concept and expand upon it adding new features and planning for more!
All of these features are already in development. We would love for the community to help us in shaping Beat the Markets into a game that many will enjoy for years to come.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We predict we need an additional 6 to 12 months of development before all planed features will be finished. Based on community feedback, we will continue to update and support this with fixes and possibly additional features after early access has ended.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Here is what we are developing for the full release of the game:

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Beat the Markets is already in a fully playable state for 2-6 players. Featuring the board game in a 3D environment, fully animated game pieces, sound, and special effects. The game can be played in either hot-seat mode were friends can enjoy the game taking turns at the same computer. Or you can all join together in a online lobby. The game also features the ability to customize the rules and starting conditions. Allowing you to change how the base ruleset for the board game operates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have no plans to increase the price after launch.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“As new features are rolled out we will be listening to our community.
Player feedback will play a major role in ensuring that everything works well as we work towards the completion of the game. Part of this will include monthly progress reports of the game as well as the game updates themselves. After we exit early access we will continue be committed to feedback fixing any bugs that may come along.”
