What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“From the first line of code, A Webbing Journey has been developed alongside our community. The game already delivers a fun, creative sandbox experience across multiple rooms, but we have a lot more planned — new levels, new mechanics, and plenty of content still to come. Your feedback directly shapes what we build next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're targeting 2027 for the full release, approximately two years after the Early Access release. However, this timeline is not set in stone. Development progress and community feedback will always take priority over hitting a specific date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version aims to include more rooms, more quests, expanded customization, and a complete narrative arc from beginning to end. We're also exploring additional game modes and challenges. Multiplayer is something we'd love to do, but it isn't confirmed for 1.0.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core mechanics are fully functional, and the game is already fun to play. The current content includes five interactive rooms (Tutorial, Kitchen, Office, Kids Room, and Living Room), each with unique quests, characters, and physics-based interactions. On top of story mode, sandbox levels give you full creative freedom with access to the cheat console and additional levels. Customization, web building, and traversal mechanics are all fully implemented.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The price will increase at full release. Buying during Early Access is the best way to get the game at its lowest price while helping shape its development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're active across Discord, Steam Discussions, and social media. We post daily updates, run polls, and take feature suggestions directly from our players. Several mechanics and interactions in the game exist because the community asked for them. Keep the ideas coming.”

Roadmap

About This Game

WELCOME TO THE HOUSE  🏠

You're a tiny spider in a big home. Climb anything, swing everywhere, and weave webs across entire rooms. The humans are out. Now it's your time to get to work.

Every surface is yours to explore: walls, ceilings, furniture, even the aquarium. The house is enormous from Silky's perspective, and every room is packed with secrets to uncover and plenty of opportunities to make a beautiful mess.

BECOME A WEB DESIGNER  🕸️

Stretch your webs from wall to wall, lift objects, build bridges, and create structures nobody asked for. Your webs, your rules.

Whether you build a carefully engineered web to transport objects across the room or fling your webs at everything in sight, the physics system responds to every decision you make. Connect objects, suspend them from the ceiling, and use your webs to swing yourself to new heights.

CHORES HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS FUN  🧼

The humans are out fighting the mysterious mortgage. Now it's time for Silky and the Web Scrubbers to pick up the slack, tackle chores, solve mysteries, and make the house their own. One web at a time.

Each room is home to a cast of new spiders with their own personalities, tasks, and problems that need solving. Cook breakfast, fix the aquarium, chase down runaway balloons, or help Vera crack the case of the mysterious Prof. Quack.

No two quests are the same, and most of them can be solved in more than one way.

EXPERIENCE LIFE AS A SPIDER  🕷️

  • Climb any surface, even upside down and underwater

  • Build intricate web structures across entire rooms

  • Swing freely with precise, responsive web mechanics

  • Interact with hundreds of physics-based objects

  • Customise Silky with hats, shoes, and various levels of fluffiness

  • And cause as much chaos as you want
