What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ExpressLane is already fun, fast, and chaotic in the best way—but there’s still so much more we want to build, and we want to do it alongside our players. Early Access gives us the chance to fine-tune the game’s balance, expand its features, and react to the wild strategies we know players will come up with. We’re not here to drop a half-finished idea, we’re here to launch something that’s already exciting, and then grow it into something unforgettable, together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As of today, ExpressLane is planned to be in Early Access until mid-2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of ExpressLane will build on the core experience with more traps, weapons, traversal tools, enemy types, and biomes. We’re also aiming to deepen base progression and add new surprises to keep each match fresh. The goal is to grow the game’s scope while refining it with feedback from the community.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of ExpressLane includes the full core loop: you can build your base, explore procedurally generated islands, fight both players and AI, and extract with loot. Base raiding, traps, skydiving, and extraction via flying whale are all fully playable. The foundation is there. We’re now focused on adding variety, smoothing out the edges, and expanding the chaos.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“ExpressLane will be free after Early Access and will remain free.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We listen to feedback from our community. We try to read everything you tell us, and make our decisions accordingly. We also have a discord where players can vote on what they want.”

About This Game

Not a Battle Royale. Not a looter shooter. This is ExpressLane.

A high-stakes first-person extraction shooter where you bring your own island into battle. Build a fortress, loot everything in sight, raid your enemies, and escape before they take what’s yours.

Your island is your stronghold. Construct walls, place deadly traps, and upgrade defenses to protect your incubator—the key to your survival.

Scavenge floating islands for rare gear, resources, and weapons. Every match is different, and the best loot won’t wait forever.

Attack rival players, break into their bases, and steal their wealth before they steal yours.

When you’re ready to cash out, call a flying whale to extract. But be warned: extraction is the most dangerous part of the match.

A Dynamic, Ever-Changing World

No two matches are the same.

Fight against other players and AI threats, from deadly ghouls to colossal boss battles.

Use grappling hooks, wingsuits, and jetpacks to navigate the skies.

Set deadly traps to defend your base, control chokepoints, and ambush raiders.

Think fast. Fight hard. Get rich.

If you hesitate, someone else will take what’s yours. Will you make it out alive?
