Why Early Access?

“Being a large (and pretty complex) visual novel, it will require extra testing as well as editing which Early Access can afford

Early Access will also allow early detection and fixing of any bugs or problems that may occur. In addition, with players involved at an early stage, the story can be modified to include extra details if needed.”

“Due to the number of graphics still to do, I am hoping this will be in Early Access up to around mid-2024”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version should have all the required backgrounds and sound effects implemented, as well as any areas of the story that need enhancing. It is also possible some current graphics may change.

Steam achievements will hopefully be finalised too.”

About This Game

WTC : Love's Labour's Lost is the third and last side-story in the "Welcome To... Chichester" visual novel series. This episode concentrates on Grendel's past



The city of Chichester, England was once an unassuming and lawful place. located on the southern tip of England. However, with the arrival of the megalomaniacal Grendel Jinx and her put-upon "friend", this soon changes as Grendel works her way into all aspects of local governance.

Not wanting to see another place fall under the control of Grendel, the protagonist devises a plan to take Grendel back to America but comes up against opposition on the form of Cindi Eglantine, the local tourist guide and Autumn Shaw, “The Violet Hotel” over-worked waitress/cleaner.

Together, they devise a counter-plan, although neither would realise the cost of stopping the protagonist.



  • 95,000+ word visual novel, with around 8 - 10 hours gameplay for the main story and another 1 - 2 hours for the extra side stories.
  • Side stories and a new route is available in the main story once the game has been completed
  • Multiple paths leading to many different endings. It's even possible to break the time/space continuum !
  • Meet Grendel's love interests
  • Loads of CG's to be discovered, mostly by Tarako309, but with some by Hadwinart
  • Partial voice acting by LannaRosee_ (Cindi); JustPeachxo (Hotel Waitress) and Meghanisnotdumb (Hotel Receptionist)

The developers describe the content like this:

Detailed violence including fight sequences between school pupils
Implied violence (including various deaths that happen off-screen)
Mention of forced drug use and biopharmaceutical drugs
Implied sexual assault by various pupils against others
Depictions of various dangerous and illegal activities
Violent bank robbery (along with lesser crimes elsewhere)
