Why Early Access?

“I personally believe that Paper Animal Adventure can become a much better game with the community involved - especially when it comes to their ideas and suggestions. An Early Access phase allows me to develop the game in a tighter feedback loop with players and provides more flexibility to make changes than a full release would.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will remain in Early Access for approximately 8 to 12 months, with around four major updates planned during that period.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The primary difference between the Early Access version and the full release will be the scope of available content. That said, the core game experience is already fully playable and completable in the Early Access version.

I'm planning to expand the scope by adding the following game content:

• 9 more Characters, with an A-, B-, C- and Chroma-Skin
  
• Each area gets a harder alternate version
  
• More Items, Skills and Stickers
  
• 110 more Achievements
  
• Chaos Mode, where the game gets harder and harder
  
• Tournament Mode, with a global leaderboard
  
• Coop Mode, for couch multiplayer

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The initial Early Access version contains roughly 50% of the completed game. Additional content has already been developed but is not yet fully tested and polished yet, and will therefore be added in future updates.

The current Early Access version has the following content available:

• 10 playable Characters, with an A- and B-skin
  
• 8 different Areas, with at least 3 enemies and 1 boss each
  
• 30 Items with active effects
  
• 10 Skills with a total of 25 different attributes
  
• 30 Stickers with passive effects

• Camp Customization Mode

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No - the price will remain the same for both the Early Access and full versions.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to actively involve the community in the development process by gathering regular feedback through Steam forums, Discord, and other social media platforms. Players will be able to report bugs, share their ideas and suggestions, and take part in polls that influence the direction of future content.”
