Why Early Access?

“We've been working hard over the past several years to build Poker Warlords, from scratch, based off the success of our prototype in the StarCraft II arcade. We've developed the core features of the game and have been refining it through closed beta testing. We're now ready to begin building our player base and involving the greater community in the development!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to be in Early Access for around one year, although the roadmap will evolve with user feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan is to build out everything currently in the game: more cards, more game modes, and more cosmetics for customization. We also plan to upgrade to new unit models and add more features such as support for clans, replays, and more! With the launch of 1.0, we will begin rotating in-game seasons and hosting regular tournaments.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We've implemented the core features of the game, including a custom combat system, 30 unique units with abilities, multiplayer poker betting, matchmaking with a rating system, and progression systems including earning coins and a shop with purchasable avatars. Coins and progression will carry-over from the Early Access to the full version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Poker Warlords is and will continue to be free-to-play! We will continuously be adding in new cosmetics and flair for purchase for players to support the development and our team.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to engage with our community on our Discord and Steam discussion pages to get feedback and suggestions for current and future game features. We're very interested in hearing our players' thoughts and using them to make the best game possible. We plan to continue development based off of the needs and feedback of the community.”
